Inspired by Onehillwonder's sig (a Winston Churchill quote) I've scoured the internet for a few more. To tell you the truth many were just too cringeworthy to quote but here's some that are good or... okay.... ish, most of which can easily be related to fell running:

* 80% of success is showing up

* If at first you don't succeed, you're running about average

* As you climb the ladder of success be sure its leaning against the right building

* I couldn't wait for success so I went ahead without it

* The closer one gets to the top the more one finds there is no top

* Flaming enthusiasm, backed up by horse sense and persistance, is the quality that most frequently makes for success

* Success is getting what you want; happiness is wanting what you get

* Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom <---- my favourite!

I used to know a good one but can't remember it I'll try and think really hard and it may come back to me!

I like the bottom one too but also don't get the one before it??

very true in fell races sometimes

Having read the Borrowdale threads I wondered if this might help.
