I wasn't there for the final Swoop but I was at Old Trafford for the semi against Gloucestershire when David Hughes hit 24 off one over in the dark.

"If you're good enough you're alive enough". Utterly ace
Poacher turned game-keeper
BFH for the England team.
Heads should roll.
Let's think what Australia would do in this situation. They'd probably have a huge cull of the coach and a lot of the older players and look to build towards the next world cup around 2 or 3 key players.
What will England do? Sack the coach and then business as usual.
Just when I thought that things could not get any worse for English cricket ! Totally abysmal and shameful by the whole team. They should hand back their central contract earnings as they have been taken under false pretenses, the great train robbers were lesser thieves.
England Cricket Team and Coaches ..... you disgust me !

A wonderful test match. Such a shame the New Zealand tour is only 2 tests, they are a great tem that play by a great spirit.
Only 1 wicket to go for an England win but a great advertisement for test matches.

Yes, an amazing turnaround. It just shows the advantage of getting young plucky players in who don't know when they're beaten. Of course you also need talent and experience - a great innings by Cook.
What a fantastic ODI series, a great advertisement for the game.
A fantastic turn around by England who thoroughly deserved the series win.

Yes, what a difference 3 months and 2 weeks makes. I'm looking back to my previous post saying that England will probably not change much. But they have - some new young faces, and a totally different ethos.
It's like they said "who's best at cricket. OK, let's pretend we're them". And it's worked.
Now what we need is a Germany-style football team.
BTW. Who thinks we'll win more than 1 game in the Ashes. I don't. I'll go with 3-1 to the Aussies.
