Cycling is the way to go Stagger. When I was overweight I found that I couldn't run fast enough for it to have any benefit. The weight fell off through cycling and now I can run again

Good shout WJB, I had a bike service voucher bought for Christmas, might have to take the winter bike down and then get the miles in.
Losing weight again. Wonder what's on my horizon?
I'm 54 now and despite my running weight gain is virtually constant if I'm not 100% on the ball with my diet and I'm not doing that . Heard loads of times as one gets older the muscle loss is progressive. So biting the bullet and cut back on running and try to do some gym work which consists of 15 minute warm-up and then a couple of circuits of weight machines as recommended by the gym instructor.
Im at in a month now, hopefully some visible results by christmas. Body Fat 23.4% on the border of Ideal/Average

After a 4 week lay off following a knee injury Ive put on 3kg- 1/2 stone. Feel very flabby and for first time in years Ive got a small paunch. I'm 6 2 and 12 1/2 stone so by no means overweight but flab wobbles when I jump up and down. Hope to shift it ASAP. Looking to introduce some heavy weights to augment the running.
