Thanks Granty, reading about others and listening to people on here helps.
Cheers to Mr P and Wheeze too.
Hopefully next year will be the start of my new life.

Good attitude Stagger. Look forwards not backwards. You cant change the past but you can shape the future. Keep a firm grip of that. What future do you want?
And if it helps, I dont think knowing the ins and outs of your personal situation would change the support we try to give. Its not material, honestly. So give the mods due credit for treading in fine line. There are legal obligations to running a forum and they must act within them.

A few weeks ago I posted it was maybe a good time for everyone to consider using this thread to discuss depression and mental health topics, not specifics of people's lives best kept to private messages with friends not a public forum. Nothing has changed
I think some people forget that this Forum is accessible to anyone in the world with internet access and it is clearly impossible for the possible consequences of what is posted to be foreseen.
Search engines can easily (and do) pick up key words.
Posters should not rely on Brett, DT etc to edit their posts and save them from their foolishness.

I have turned the corner. (I think)
Some stuff my have been close to the bone, but in my opinion needed saying. That doesn't mean someone with a different opinion my disagree. I do hope you can forgive me for what's been done.
Anyway, following good words form most caring people on here, I hope to change my state of mind.
My girlfriend is encouraging me to quit the booze to break the habit. 26 day's without alcohol.
She is also helping me to channel positive thoughts for the future and place less importance on what's gone in the past.
I would like to dedicate this song to Julie and the positive people on here who are all trying to help me.

I've found some hope. My Chiropractor, who is a far better musculoskeletal specialist than he gives himself credit for, has got me on a very aggressive stretching program. At least 40mins every day in 2 sessions and alternate morning gym sessions lasting 45mins; all stretching around hip flexors with some band work. It really hurts! Some of my ranges of hip movement were down to 10% of FSD due to inactivity and resting, which had started kneecap maltracking issues. It's a sledgehammer approach, but hopefully one which will clear out the worst of the problem.
My mate who has Bipolar has talked me into having a Thyroid test, i hate needles. He's got a plan for getting my head back into shape and has me on a 2 weekly report. I didn't know i had mates who cared that much.

3rd time this week that I wake up and then can't get back to sleep.
I'll be knackered all day now.
Oh well, less than a month to the shortest day.
Brilliant news.
