After Wadsworth/Amble then, you'll have to wait for me, I'm still a fat knacker. You can park up at mine, I'm less than a mile off course.
Note from organisers of Heptonstall Fell Race - sorry to hear about the cancellation -noted the possible new date; 21st could clash with our new 15 miler just down road the same weekend? We tried to avoid clashes with any similar race in South Pennines and were hoping the long distance fans would find our route perfectly placed away from other events. Is the new date fixed?
Anybody else doing this tomorrow? Obviously I am, or I wouldn't be asking.
I loved running this route in January. It was good training to get the legs going and some miles in the legs. There's too many other things to do in March, so i'll be doing the Heptonstall race instead.
The LDWA did themselves proud again yesterday, the food and friendliness were brilliant.
Quite a few runners turned out on what was a misearble day weather-wise, with fog adding to the navigational fun.
If anyone hasn't tried an LDWA event they are well worth a go.
Biriani for endurance, pathia for speed.
Two Crosses filling up nicely so would be a good idea to get your entry in. CD for postal entries (with email for confirmation) by next Wednesday. I will put out some entry forms at Haworth Hobble tomorrow.
Will it continue its reputation as the best value Long Distance Challenge event (what will you find at the Naughty Corner?). Link to entry form at https://www.ldwa.org.uk/EastLancashire
Looking forward to the 2018 event. As always, a great day out whether you run it or walk. And magnificent value for money. Enter at sientries or I can upload a pdf entry form.
Most years you can enter on the day at The Two Crosses Challenge but this year there will be no EOD. The limit is 300 and we are already up to 255 entries. If you have yet to enter, I suggest you make it soon to avoid disappointment. Runners always welcome (I have now been an FRA member or over 30 years). Always great food on the way round with the Naughty Corner for that bit extra, offering true value for money

Mmmmm, the Naughty Corner. Shocking behaviour, what with the Mankinholes checkpoint on Haworth Hobble as well. It's enough to get us under the affluence of incerhol. Oh, since you're asking, maaarn's a sweet sherreh.
