Compression clothing - any good?

I had a compression top as a present a couple of Christmases ago. Wore it twice and hated it for one simple reason, the compression.

I just did not like the feeling of such a skin tight garment, I found it claustrophobic!

Helly Hansen Lifa is my compression limit.

I do sometimes wear calf sleeves for warmth in winter rather than for the compression.

Yeah, I can also see the restriction being any issue for me too, aside from also providing an unwelcomed, nagging reminder, of my carrot-cake consumption rate!
