A few wildlife highlights to report:
Pied flycatcher in the garden over the last few days. The male looks particularly splendid. I announced "piecatcher" at one point to Mrs Noel - followed by a short conversation about what that would look like.
We were on holiday in Greece over easter and saw a few tortoises - all alive, crossing the road. Both Hermann's and marginated (I think).
Sentinel Swallow still sadly solitary
Visibility good except in Hill Fog
In his lifetime he suffered from unreality, as do so many Englishmen.

A pair of ring ouzels today near White Hall Outdoor Education Centre (near Buxton) while walking some of Whitehall Wiggle. Mrs Noel was running it. A nice race, albeit not a fell race.

I did it a few years ago, not a great fan of it.
As the proceeds go to good causes its a shame they have it on the same day as Kettleshulme because with them being no more than 3 miles apart, as the crow flies, it must diminish the field of both.
I wonder if they hold the record as the closest two Fell Races run on the same day?
(I'm sure AK will be on the case)

A good spot Noel. I've only ever seen them on Stanage.
