The Cross Fell Race 30th June

I'm so sorry the results of last year race were not published in winter's The Fellrunner magazine.

    Please go to https://www.garrigillvh.org.uk/cross-fell-race-results/

It's amazing how fast runners are doing this. Last year Tim did it in 1 hr 42 mins.

Engraved glassware for winners again this year. The team prize of shot glasses was well received.

The village will again put on the high caloric spread and cups of tea. We also have vegan options so don't be put off.

Come run the roof of England!

We must be desperate or just nice

You decide and take a run over the top of the Pennines on Sunday 30th June

Added to the class glass for winners is the class head gear for the first 40 entrants SI or on the day.
White baseball cap with the Cross Fell logo to keep the sun and sweat out your eyes and hair out your face.

Looking forward to seeing you all in Garrigill at the end of the month.

    So that went well.
The buzz about our race is that the track (Pennine Way) up crossfell is terrible but as was seen it's now graded even growing grass in places.
So don't be shy next year we have a great rep for after run hospitality and we keep our runners safe and happy.
This year several pieces of engraved glassware were not claimed, come on ladies you know it just makes our sideboard even more cluttered!
The word is out though, proof of our international prowess (if it ever was needed) saw this year our first runner from New York State, I know!
Results are posted on the FRA web page.
No records broken this year but any time under 2hrs for this race is elite running.
I join the Garrigill village in thanking the runners who entered and were so polite and friendly.
You raised £350 for the village church and hall, good work.XFELL RACE 2024.jpg
