No problem Rhiannon, loved the race...words alone don't do it justice.

The climb up is steady away until the final summit push which is hands on pull yourself up the rock face terrain, I bet Paul Corny flew up this section with his climbing skills. The descent is one of the best I've encountered on any race, brilliant fast running over spongy grass if you get the correct line. In bad weather I can imagine people ending up here, there and everywhere. What amazes me is only 31 people turned up for what is one of the best AS races in the calendar, a proper fell race in every sense. Thanks to Scoffer and all his helpers.

Would you mind if I used your report for the fellrunner magazine?

Great, concise write up there Darren. With 300-plus races under your shoes, you pretty well placed to critique it. Just a shame Glaramara is so far from Langley!

I see this is in the calendar but the website link seems defunct. Can anyone confirm it's going ahead? Thanks.

I can't confirm anything about the race for you, but the Borrowdale Fell Runners website does have some hosting problem. There's an email address on the calendar entry for the race: have you tried that?
