I too live in the shadows of Pendle Hill (Clitheroe to be exact), and I joined Rossendale Harriers. All kinds of runners, fat, thin and lager louts (you out there, DS?), educated and semi literate (Pengiun?).

I uphold the fat, crap end of the spectrum as my fellow fell runners will soon tell you.

We train from Marl Pits, Rawtenstall, tueday and thursday nights, lots of races and lots of teams in the relay. Club room with tea, hot vimto and abuse, and a bar next door

well let's just look into this post a bit more shall we?

lager louts??? ahm.. i think you drink more than me and DS put together, your beer gut is a bit woobly these days..

but yes you are right you uphold the fat cat bit perrrfectly... but you mention training?? training i am sure that word has vanished from you vocabulary

Hi All just joined today it seemed the place to be!
Have just taken up this fine sport or is that (eyes filled with sweat, agony, pain and sheer disillusionment as to why i am running) and am getting bored being by myself is there a club i can join that i may be able to laugh at other people that have lost there way as i have??
I am not going to earn money at this sport i just enjoy the hills any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have done it i have joined i am a pony!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i am free of the chains of rules and allowed to express myself with the designer vest god i could even wear it with high healed fell shoes if i so wished!
