I had a saunter up Mearley clough today, there where a good few runners out. Everyone I saw ran all the way up to the monument. Am I lazy bugger or just not a very good runner, I have never ran that hill yet.
See you saturday everyone.

I'm looking forward to it.
It will be nice to see you forumites, not. only joking!
I'm ready but my body has to decided to fight some green flem, hopefully I will shake it off enough to feel ok. Whatever happens, I'll be there on sat. forecast looking good so far. cough, splut!
Well I'm chucking my hat in the ring for what its worth - hoping to run with the pack, never having run this before and only once before having run up just one side of Pendle. Anyway I've printed off my Clayton Le Moors black and white map and raring to go.
I like to think that I can do a winners time plus 50% or so - does that give me something like a 3 hours 40 target?

I'm hoping to be there - especially since I now know that the race is on Saturday rather than Sunday (thanks Stick).
Time wise would be pleased at under 4 hours, my longest run by a considerable amount.
Glad to see that you are all getting your maps ready ~ just look at all those contour lines in the 2nd half of the race. Study it well and don't set of too fast ~ you'll need all the energy you can get for that 2nd half.
There is, however, a small dilemma ~ don't leave it too late to get to CP10 (Pendle trig) as all the sustenance in the form of bananas, coffee, and whisky carried up there by Alsoran, the checkpoint marshall, will have gone !
See the light in the night
