Back to it after a week or so off. 8.5miles on the road with a bit of beach at the start and a hill in the middle. Couldn't find my torch so had to skip the second (dark) beach section....eeeek!
Relaxed jog around the Kentmere Horseshoe yesterday in glorious weather (well, a bit of mist up around Harter Fell), it was wonderful. A mile in the pool this morning, am now eating anything that vaguely resembles food. *hungry*
new 5km PB at Albert Parkrun. Working towards that sub-17. Seemed to shake the cold, now need to loosen the legs before tomorrow's XC.
an easy 6 miler, very very much looking forward to a day in the highlands tomo
A nice jaunt up Black Hill from Wessenden Head. Along to the Swordfish wreck then back to the summit and down the old pennine way, then car dodging along the A635 back to Wessy Head. A tad under 6 miles with a 1000ft of ups & downs.
From Bowland Knotts, following the county boundary round Copy Nook, Ravens Castle, Thistle Hill, to the trig point & the Standard on Burn Moor, and back again.
No idea of distance, not important. Lots of good fun boggy running on a glorious day.

Interesting piece of stone?
What's the history of the Standard?
Don't know the history myself, all I can find is a reference to it as a boundary stone (there are many up there), but interesting nonetheless.
Just a 30minute trundle down the Dales Way this afternoon :closed:
