excellent piccies!
fantastic day :D
more from me another day - am suffering from an horrific infected tooth which is knocking me out atm :(
SO glad I managed to get the PB Relay in before my jaw swelled up to the size of a grapefruit
Just occurred to me - what was the entry fee, and who paid it? Seems like that person deserves a lot of thanks, and/or a lot of cash.
Loving the pics.....and the ace FLAG
I paid, but I'm pretty sure I've actually been paid MORE in total than the entry fee by various people - i.e. people paying twice and people paying who later pulled out - I might try to work it all out sometime, but don't anybody hold their breath...
feeling a bit better today - thank heavens for penicillin! :D
some ace piccies of the PB Relay on the sleepmonsters site if anybody hasn't already seen...
Excess money, Daz? Mines a pint! Oh go on, buy yourslf one for all the disorganisation you did. Top couple of hours cawling, shame I couldn't stay for the rest. I like a laugh :D
What? What!! And I didn't know! Ohhh, run it again. Missed George buying a pint then missed the alcoholic BOGOF offer. Works over rated!
I have to have my wisdom teeth out (and some impacted molars). Not looking forward to that!
Apparently i will be heavily sedated with Rohipnol! My only phobia is dentists. Hoping i can recover in five days for a 17 mile fell race!
A friend of mine reckons mercury from fillings can get into your system and and play havoc with your health. He wants his replaced with mercury free fillings. I'm not sure about this at all.
I wouldn't worry. A friend of mine says the biggest trial made found absolutely no health differences between those given mercury fillings and those given fillings made with a "safe" substance. My friend, who incidentally works for "The Mercury Filling Company Inc"*, says that these stories started because some Scandinavian countries had banned amalgam fillings. True they had, but only because they believed that the waste products involved in the production were harmful to the environment not the patient.
*Only joking:D, he's a biochemist at a university
I didn't think there was much in the story about fillings, he also gets headaches when near radio masts and thinks the sulphates in bacon are deadly.
right - in a post-amoxycillin glow, I can now reflect on last Sunday's shenanigans, and would just like to publicly register my thanks to Marcel for putting up with my comparatively slow plodding
I say comparatively, meaning compared to him, but I have just worked out that my desperate attempts to keep up with Marcel caused me to register my second-fastest pace EVER on a fell race (beaten only on a much shorter/less extreme course)
Roll On the next relay! ;)
