Just day to day, at home and work etc my energy levels feel fine, if anything I've started feeling better. But training I do feel more tired than ususal, I did an 8.5km run on saturday and a 15km mountain bike yesterday and felt tired on both right from the start.
They (Noakes and the guy who did my plan) say it takes about 3 weeks before the body starts burning fat/ketones as a preference during exercise, though ketosis starts earlier. Noakes also says for athletes training regularly the sweet spot for carbs is between 25g and 200g a day - but everyone is different so you need to experiment. My objective is primarily fat loss so I'm keeping the carbs to a bare minimum and putting up with feeling tired during exercise.
It doesn't feel like a hard diet to stick to so far, there's plenty of variation in the stuff you can eat, and eating lots of fats/proteins keeps you feeling full as opposed to a calorie restricted diet where you (or at least I) feel hungry all of the time.
