Pacman, whats the full route like?
Good outing, i think some of the best bits are in the 2nd half.
After checkpoint 2 tarmac lane for about 1.5 miles, through farm and then v.muddy fields, across wooded valley, dryish fields, track and tarmac to tockholes village, over the smaller winter hill, around darwin golf course, edge of sunnyhurst woods, thro' Tockholes woods, edge of brinscall moor, bit of road to brinscall, tracks and tarmac to withnall fold, along canal, across fields just before the Boatyard, back of Riley Green, fields, Hoghton Tower Drive again to main road and finish.
:DOk ta. Sounds simple enough.
Your local yourself aint you?
56 mins around the The Chew after work, nice and easy as full of a head cold...Wet but not as wet as the :eek:MM
2 hours and 45 minutes of wet and muddy parkland and farm tracks.
quick 4.5 miles at lunchtime on the roads around Dukinfield
6.5 miles 1000ft on hilly roads around Ewden, it was cold out there and the gritters have been out:eek:
Just over 11 miles and 2250' of ascent up Ingleborough from Austwick. Did the route clockwise today heading out up Long Lane and back via Sulber Nick and Crummack. Must be a bit shorter this way as I did it in 1:40 which is 4 mins less than my previous fastest for the loop :D
Cold and sunny with excellent views which made for a great run. Air ambulance was out just beyong Trow Gill, was taking off as I went by, don't know what the incident was. Quite a few people out walking with full winter gear, ski poles, 90 litre sacs, etc. Heard a passing comment directed at me about it not being torrential rain - the power of the press!!
4.2 miles of undulating parkland at 0730 and 8.8 miles of varied terrain mainly flat at 1520
1:13:24hr Greenfield - Wimberry - Alphin (got caught out by the early arrival of night) stumbled down - thru the fields and back home....Easy pace, brilliant run, night sky fantastic :)
[QUOTE=IanDarkpeak;159875]So you don't fancy the run round the Skyline tommorrow :D[/QUO

Hi One Hill. ;)
Yeah I hope so, it was really starting to get me down. Didn't think I would have been out of exercise for so long!
I know one thing...it's going to be a bloody long hard slog to get back to fitness after this!!! :(
This 3.8 miles of the most fell-like terrain Norwich to offer !!
7.5 miles on roads, by canal and round the Tame Valley Park, nice and fresh today !
Edale Skyline variant with Shaunneto

Cold northerly wind with occ snow showers.
Total just over 20 miles and 2,750ft in 4hours 40minutes.

1 hour up to the quarry and over to Alphin. Drop down to main road in Greenfield and up to Tanners and climb back up to the plantation. Followed Roman Road back to Carrbrook. Just going dark. Lovely views from Alphin.

75 mins last night. All on pancake flat roads. I know all very boring, but it was my only option. Started hard, kept the middle bit hard and finished hard.
