6.6 mile on Pex Hills XC route this afternoon in extremely muddy and wet conditions it was bloody hard going. I didn't help with all the fields having been ploughed alongside the pathways.
Up at 5.45 and can't go running until Donna awakes. For some reason kadi wanted to get up and play with her toys. I am hoping soon she sees the benefit of lying in bed all morning on cold half term days. Just planning where to do my two file mile runs.
Wont get that far round today as I am only doing two five milers. I tend to turn at the old stone bridge at the bottom of Alphin on five milers. But thanks for the tip. The fence I hit was on the canal where everyone has been cutting through since the garden slipped in to the canal!
A very enjoyable 7 or 8 miles up Hameldon and roundabouts. Had it all to myself. Going to try a dusk run tommorow evening and then a hard bike session Sunday. 1 week off work as from 6am Saturday so looking forward to some good sessions.

Avoid Glossop for your life. All roads are closed, well Woolley Bridge road and New Shaw Lane. It is causing grid lock!
Complete rest day for me today, early run tomorrow before work....

An hour after dark up Hameldon and around (again!). Just me and the sheep and the cows and horses and other scuttling creatures and dark shadows.
28.4 miles of pretty mixed mainly off road terrain, normally I would have stayed off road but as my next ultra includes road sections I made a point of sticking 5 miles or so on the road in for good measure.
7 miles of maily flat trail... cough, splutter, eughh! Not run for weeks and it shows!:(

Thats my last trip to the lakes this year. Loved it apart from not toughing a hill or mountain. Very clear visability, sunny and a small amount of snow on the very tops. I bet the OMM organisers wished they were putting the event on this weekend instead of last!!! (Didn't see one BBC camera man!)
