None.. I thought there could be.. but I did get a nice bouquet of flowers.. :-)
The prize giving was done with 'you're simply the best' blaring out.. cringingly bad.. :-)
10 today, 2.5 warm up to a physio session, lots of core, stretching, rolling and balance work..
then 1 mile warm up, 6.2 miles at around 6:20 min mile pace.. 1 mile cool down..
Am now fully recovered from the 3 peaks. Did a nice steady run round Chevin and Danefield on Tuesday, speed training yesterday (4 times 4minute efforts) and tonight I had a leisurely 4 1/2 miles along the river to get the smell of white spirit and inks out of my lungs (work is full on at the mo). Only lingering pains are a toenail that is probably going to drop off and a very itchy scabby knee...mustn't scratch!!:sneaky:
Mile reps last night, x4. Definitely my least favourite run out of everything I do. Last one was 20 seconds slower than the first, which didn't feel great.
Finishing them did feel great!
13 miles on the road today, meh.
An awful race today.. 17 miles in total, trail half marathon.. thought it was flat but it was 600ft+ of ascent on sandy trails.. came 6th in 1:19 but felt awful.. not day and maybe a few hard weeks caught up... was for big money.. 650, 450, 250 euros for 1,2,3.. so at least two were full time pros..
Nice day still, good to finally feel the sun..
Sun, what's that. I came in looking like some sort of sea beast yesterday.
9m and 1800ft ascent today. Should hit 12000ft for the week. No real efforts now until next weekend 10000ft hill session.
14km, 260m climb in the sun today. From home, up to Stanage pole, along the edge and down to burbage then down through woods to ringinglow to meet my wife on her way home from shift.
Lovely day, but amazed at the numbers of walkers in what looked like winter gear... I was in shorts and a vest but ditched the vest for the last third.
Two days on and around Skiddaw! Fast (...for me!!) up and down. Then 15 miles up and over, followed by Gt Calva then back round the terrace! Now to start getting back into the longer days out and see if I can get fit for Buttermere HS!...and L50!
