    Re: Today's Training

Had a little run round the Whinberry Naze race route this morning fairly short but I have something longer planned for tomorrow. There had been a bit of snow on Cowpe Lowe overnight and a cold northerly wind was blowing coming off the top. I should think its a bit chilly round the 3 peaks today.

    Today's training...

...Should have have included sun cream. Got a nice vest shaped pasty white torso and pink shoulders/arms/neck after an hour and a half around White Edge.

Breezy trousers in the Ochils today, 4.3m and 1032ft at an easy/recovery pace.

Tussocks, more tussocks than I've ever seen before. As far as the eye can see they where.

Astoundingly dry as well, desperate need for rain.

6am this morning headed out to run 14k to work. Good fun but slow with checking the map every now and again and going just a little wrong in the last field ;-) looking forward to my commute every Monday :-)

    Hill Reps, 6 x 1036ft

    Giving 6216ft in 10.32 miles.

Again. End of next week I'm planning on doing 10 reps and then launching myself at a summer of long runs in the highlands.

Hard week for the star of british running.

    http://www.berliner-zeitung.de/berlin/7--airport-run-brite-gewinnt-den-airport-run,10809148,22606014.html

Not sure a 75 half make me that.. :-)

easy 6.5 miler sunday, followed by steady 10 miler monday..
Tuesday: 7 miles at 6 am, followed by 9 at 6 pm, 12 k effort, with 9 at 6:30 pace and 3 at 5:45 pace.. nice session.
Today; 21 k trail run ay 6:25 pace.. pretty brutal.. this afternoon 2 mile slow run to the gym, 30 minutes with the foam roler, 15 minutes in the sauna.. aids recovery supposedly.. but still trying to get used to seeing the last turkey in the shop everytime I open the sauna door.. then 30 minute snooze in the solarium..

Labour day here so day off.. another half at the weekend so 1.5 hrs of stretching and core and 10k run tomorrow.. then easy run fri and the half saturday..

    Re: Today's Training

Managed to get a 10 mile on the road completed. Better than last time I was out, not as quick as February, but feeling a bit happier. Definately had some kind of virus March / April. Hopefully thats it more or less out of my system. We'll see I guess. Plenty of opportunities through May to get out in the hills.
