Glorious day around Edale!
Recce of the second half of the Skyline.
Ground was frozen so no bogs!:)
6 miles nowt to shout about though
13 miles on the country roads. Schedule was for 6:24 pace. Actual pace was 6:18 which is good, as long as i can go a tad faster next week.
35 min run today with an 8 min tempo run included
Weds - 6 miles hilly road, dark and cold but felt good.
Cheers - Raymond
Last night 10 miles up in the hills and woods with the club. Ground frozen solid so it was fast, and we had a good group, everybody was on the pace.
Today 2 to 4 inches of snow in the Chilterns and still snowing - might have to take 1/2 days holiday and get out for a run!
100 x 30m hill reps. Ran up, sled down;)
6 Miles off road through Alkrington Woods tempo pace - felt good.:)
Cast removed today, start moving the foot/ankle. In few days should walk without crutches. Remove the stitches next week.
What a gruesome avatar!!
Anyway, 4 miles this morning, 8 x 600m at lunchtime (6 miles total) - was meant to be going out (drinking) tonight but not now, tempted to go out (running) again but think training 3 times in 1 day may be a bit much, so going to reeelaax :)
3 pints of Carling.....
I really hope I can get back running soon.... :(
was very tired after being cold and wet all day at work which was very (physically demanding today).
Couldnt face the 6x mile reps scheduled and too late to do the river route so stuck to the roads for the standard 5 miler. Ran it in 30:07 which is the fastest of the year! just shows that tiredness at work doesn't necessarliy equate to tiredness for training.
Have to do the mile reps tomorrow now though - usually have Friday off!
50 minutes easy round some cold, dark scary lanes.
Yesterday 16 miles in 4 to 8 inches of snow around Ivinghoe Beacon and Ashridge. Superb. Knackered.
:( went out for a short run this morning and felt like my lungs weren't working properly, really struggled. AND it was icy and I kept nearly slipping over
 will see what tomorrow brings
Thursday lunchtime - 8.5 miles over the snowy and muddy downs, including a couple of straight down off trail descents and ascents at the back of Kingston and Swanborough (this might mean something to Pav). Loved t and finally the Walshs felt right...hooray!
Evening - 5 miles hilly road with a mate; felt it in my calves but glad to have done it.
Cheers - Raymond
2x 2mile reps
2x 1mile reps
On my own for these, pretty cold and a bit windy.

I'm going to go and get a job as a scientist now, I'm wasted here.
7 miles in blizzard conditions over the hills with my torch on
loads of snow here now:)
Rest(ish) day - so a spinning class at the gym...which wasn't at all restful.
Cheers - Raymond
Missed the local clubrun as i was called out to work.
Not really bothered as its very cold and gloomy outside.
Should really go on turbo for 90 mins now, but have just lit the fire which has become magnetic:D
Will do a bit of hoovering first then see if i feel more like it.
45 minutes thorugh a quagmire in pounding rain. The sun came out as I turned in to our street. Saw a barn owl, sparrowhawk and kestrel. Felt good if a bit damp!

Weds I was bouncing along not a care in the world, this morning felt like I had lead shoes on!
Am hoping it was just an early morning thing!
Tomorrow isn't going to be fun but then when was 13 miles and 3000ft of ascent ever considered fun!:D :D

1hr:40mins on an Icy, Snowy, Windy Pendle Hill this morning. Felt like the arctic. Not many people up their today. Good training session especially into the wind. Resistance training or what. Felt good after a hot shower !!!
A quick 40 mins up on the downs the other side of A27, lots and lots of mud and cows...good stuff.
Cheers - Raymond
First day off of the year.
Ran in the snow for the last couple of days, but it's causing wee twinges in me calves, hammies & butt cheeks  .
Steady run over Cheetham Hill this morning, first outing in two weeks after chest infection.
Two or three inches of snoiw on the paths no other footprints must have been the first person up their today, started to blow a blizzard when I reached the top, great fun! reminded why I love fell running!.
Winter hill looked to have got a good covering last night.
