It is brilliant, having those longer evenings, isn't it?

And the warmer weather is ace too... I spent most of today up a ladder, pleaching hornbeams, in a t-shirt :) Great not to have to wear multiple layers for a change...

Me :D I will need beer after a humbling experience that will be racing 11 miles on cycling fitness alone... and I need it as a muscle relaxant, to avert the onset of severe DOMS...:rolleyes:

I have no idea what you mean! Lots of helpers and hangers on used to go to the Swinside (5 mins walk away), but it's changed hands, and doesn't seem as welcoming, at least for meals. Probably ok for a pint or five though (though don't forget the FREE beer at the village hall. You'll probably find me under a table somewhere)

I'm staying in Keswick and definitely aim to be in a pub for several hours after the race.
