Yesterday: Easy 7 and a bit miles on quiet, road roads around Embsay. Nice.:)
Very slow (on purpose) 4.31 miles
Ran up Pinhaw in fantastic dusk light. Great hour out.:)
5.5 miles on road today after a 24 hour man flu, sicky type thing
Another slow plod at 9 minute miling just 3 miles worth today.
13 miles 1200ft Snowy run from Midhope over cutgate and down to Penistone stiles back up direct to High Stones and back via Margary Hill and Pike Low. a sparkly day with only one other set of SMOTS, A runner from P&B recceing the Mickledon Straddle.
Just a short trot up to Hameldon trig and back trying to get Tuesday evening's 'race' out of them. Still quite a lot of patches of frozen snow kicking about. Tried on my Pirelle dry socks which I found the other day - bought them years ago and can't remember what they were like. Anyway, they kept my feet a damn sight warmer than my Bridgedale X-Hale summer socks so they will be getting some use this winter. Roll on Calderdale.
About 55mins steady last night. Pleasantly surprised how good my legs felt after Tanky's
has been seven milers home from work all this week, dont like it after having hard days at work then cold runs home
4m to work, lost shoe in a bog and ended up flat on me face. Ripped me glove on a barbed wire fence getting back up, cold trot home in shorts:eek:
Not complaining though:rolleyes:
Just 2.51 miles at a slightly quicker pace than the last couple of days.
Glad the taper is over and proper running can resume :D
A 4 mile treadmill run today at race pace.
Only second run of the week - 6.2 road miles to add to the 5.8 miles on Wednesday. Need a long (off-road) run tomorrow.
An easy hour yesterday with a solid two hours running today all on the moors of the Eastern Peak. Ran a little to hard to start with today and lost my lunch near Millstones Edge..... eeeek:(
Looking forward to a nice long run tomo in the upper Derwent valley, might need a wet suit tho as its a tad damp out!!
7 cold miles today. brrrrrrrrrrrr.:D
Not particularly long but managed 80 mins (c8 miles) on and around Danefield & Chevin. Feeling good on the climbs - probably wettest I've ever seen it- a mix of today's rain plus snow melt - fun watching a guy in road shoes trying to work his way around a particularly wet/muddy section of Danefield - I just splashed my way past him!!:D
10 miles on the roads in the wet this afternoon. Felt pretty tired today probably due to spending the morning walking around the Trafford Cenre shopping.
Garmin logged 26.99 miles yesteday, it felt more like 99.26 !!
Nice little jaunt on the Eastern side of the Derwent valley, mainly nosing aroung exploring and for a long run im planning.
Out for about 3 hours, great fun descending Abbey Clough
42:02 mins recovery pace...Lower Chew. First run since injury on Tanky's last weekend....took it nice and easy, concentrated on good form/position etc, everything felt ok.....bit of patience, easy does it and build back up the mileage slowly....Great to be out there :)
4 mile on the roads this afternoon.
Leg 4 with a very poorly mate. He flew down hills, had an impressive purple patch on a flat bit ut just about died on up hills. Incredible effort from him, he literally got off his sick bed, which he's been in for 2 days! Said he was going straight back to it too. I'm not sure I would have had the balls to do that. Did something similar a long time ago and it was a month before I felt better.
Anyway, I guess it was a great training run, except I hurt my ankle!:)
6.96 miles this morning on suprisingly stiff legs.
Leg 1 today, clocked at 10.5 by partners Garmin. To avoid hanging around i took my bike in the van and cycled home. Miscalculation on distance resulted in a very tough 40 miles from Cragg Vale to Hollingworth via Holme Moss. Sleepy now....
It should have been a doddle. I brought your bag home for you you lazy git. Are there any butties in it?
Cyclocross race yesterday..very muddy in parts. has taken me 1-45 to clean the muck off the bike
easy run today
6.82 miles at a faster pace than yesterday. Legs feeling pretty much normal.
Nice hour or so yesterday steady on Dales Way from Addingham to Bolton Bridge then over to Haw Pike farm and back through the golf course. Don't know if I dare mention it but seem to be getting over the runner's knee problem I've been carrying for 6-7months
Just back from 9.8 miles on my mountain bike. Though "off road" mostly on good surface cycle paths.
First training session on a bike in many years. So pleased to have averaged over 15 mph. Will have to check just how long it has been.
Last logged cycle session was 01.01.95
