Here goes, read it, didn't relate to it, thought the protagonist was a an over privileged whinge bag. In fact I don't know how any working class British person can relate to this character, but others might feel different.

Days
What are days for?
Days are where we live.
They come, they wake us
Time and time over.
They are to be happy in.
Where can we live but days?
Ah, solving that question
Brings the priest and the doctor
In the their long coats
Running over the fields.
Philip Larkin
Focus.
Sometimes the voice in my head talks to me,
Forcing me to do stuff lose my dignity,
Well i won't let it control me anymore,
Broke free of the shackles knocked down the door.
No longer me to the power of three no more,
Cast aside just one now to the power of four,
I shall write poetry and roam the fell,
Give me eighteen months and i will run like hell.
Focused and clear after such a long time,
Chemical haze disappears i rise and climb,
Now i can concentrate on the two things i love,
Never to falter astride the fells looking down from above.
By Herakles.
Intense Focus.
Minds arrow,
Straight fell,
High runner,
Victorious conquered,
Natures best no,
Longer holds fear,
Lines short clear,
Words all that's,
Needed.
By Herakles.
I changed my name by PM'ing Brett with what name i wanted minutes later e mail received and sorted.

Long lion days
start with white haze
by midday you meet
A hammer of heat-
whatever was sown
now fully grown,
whatever conceived
now fully leaved,
Abounding, ablaze-
O long lion days!
A moment along the Cornish Coastal path
Around the Headlands turn, I ran
Ancient landscape torn and born again.
Relentless; granite bastions spread
into the oceans roar like a pianists
Fingers.The waves crashed against
them; stretching notes, which ended in splutters
low against the sea blackened cliffs.
Waveswere split and hung in the air
like frothy Constellations.
I promise you ...er...'the poet previously known as Tri' and now Herakles, that I was being very sincere, you have a great talent and I find many of your poems evocative and moving. So while I'm pleased you have/are trying out a different identity, please keep some of that old talent going - it really is a gift. Take care mate.:)
Fish fingers sizzling
salt vinegar and ketchup
a feast all for me
Oops almost burnt them in my excitement :D
Fellrunner.
Moving forward legs like lead,
Wind through my hair,
Thousand thoughts run ahead,
I'm hurting but i don't care.
Hale stones like tennis balls,
Fat bloke says your all bloody masochists,
We hardy lot are joyous souls,
He would never understand our love of this.
Don't do it for fame, money or ego,
The love of life and of the fell,
From the peaks we watch the valley below,
Running atop of the world you fall for it's spell.
By Herakles.
breaded snowy cod
served between freshly sliced bread
grilled or fried?
Dry fried until crisp
with glass of red full bodied
mellow to the core
Breaded cod in fingers
Delicious between slices of bread
Worth the cooking smell that lingers
Coated in Heinz brown or red
Cooked by frying or grilling
Served with mayo or sauce
They really are quite filling
And loved by kids of course
Ready when crisp and gold
High in good Omega 3
Eat them before they go cold
Especially at Sunday tea
Damp dark Sunday night
yields an unexpected theme
.... mmmm... fish finger porn
Don't even go there OW.
This thread's making me hungry!!!!!
Quorn porn now, well it rhymes:D
tempting fish fingers
strip off those coats of gold and
reveal bare white flesh
