No PB, the winning time last year was 10 hours 6 minutes!!! It'll be slower I think this year because of the wet conditions but looking for someone at what 6 to 6:30 might be a possibility

Thanks for that Stolly as i intend to have a training run from home to Great Whernside to watch some of the action.
Sorry people, I'm getting my 'Whernsides' mixed up - schoolboy error!:o
What's the kit list for spending the night on a school hall floor?
ear plugs
I'd second Toreador's suggestion of ear plugs - handy if you are a light sleeper. A decent sleeping mat is a good idea - I find a my light Thermarest fine in a tent as there is grass underneath, but it wasn't uber-comfy last year on the hard wood floor so I may take a second mat this year. I would consider my balloon bed but I doubt that I will have sufficient energy or patience to blow it up once I finish!
can you get your head down afterwards on the hall floor ? i may have been a bit thick on this one but i didnt realise i was going to doss in the car for a couple of hours ?
Yes definately. 2 years ao I slept (sort of) in hall on Fri night and then at midnight on Sat had shower and crashed out in hall again ready for breakfast on Sunday!
Still haven't given up making it to the start line this year altho even I have to admit it is not looking promising. Back at work today and on my feet all day which really didn't help. 3 hours on sofa with ice and leg almost vertical has helped this evening. Colours are getting very pretty. (nned to sneak buy some marzipan - husband thinks I have given up all hope of running in sat)
