Well done Daz, good effort given the conditions. Woolly and I did the Edale Skyline route on Sunday and we'd had enough weather after 4 and 3/4 hours so fair play for sticking it out for 9 hours+.
Hats off, literally.

Think I'm going to have to drive down and do this sometime this year, looks a great route and I have hankering for a day out in the peak
hmmmmmmm...
Good effort Daz, you must be pleased with the time.
I am still annoyed I couldn't get out last weekend!
Congratulations to DMcG and PaulF who knocked an hour and a bit off their time for the Dozen today, finishing in 7.45 ... which, it transpired over a couple of pints afterwards, included one or two rather idiosyncratic route extensions. If those boys learned how to read a grid reference, they might go sub-7 hours before the spring's out.
but when I first did that bit of the route I didn't use the grid ref. I was with the man who devised the route who took me to the CP! it is I agree a little way off from GR but I've joined many other DPers on a Dozen that all go to the same place, many who did it before me. Kens own map for the route actually puts the cp by the path which is neither on the GR or on the point he showed me.
But this isn't a race it's a good challenging day out with friends so 100m either way isn't going to worry me too much. I only hope to get fit enough to do it again one day
I'll give Ken a call and get him to clarify
Felt good getting under eight hours, with a bit of tweaking (and not putting in addition distance) think I could get it down to seven and a half hours, good to see 'Coach Kitchen' towards the end. I need to go round with Ian & learn the faster lines.
My self and friend Gareth went round this yesterday in blistering sunshine. We started from Snake Inn in order to be able to replenish our water bottles in Edale at halfway. Despite the heat and a 20 minute stop at Edale we still managed a respectable 7 hours and 29 minutes. First time I have done the whole thing and it is a real belter.
Well done it would have been hard work yesterday phew! The killer would have been a better choice as there are plenty of water stops.
