Don't tell anyone I was nice
Yesterday, 15k of mud, mud and more mud for the Southern CC champs.
10.5 miles today. road, lanes, towpaths and mud.:)
6 miles,felt like a right fat mess
18 miles also feeling the extra weight :(
Well yesterdays actually - About 9 miles complete with small rucsac filled with all the requirements for a duffers day out, bit of road to start then over Derwent Edge. Thought I was going quite well - managed to hold off some mountain bikers on the climb though they pipped me 100 yards from the top. Then down and well, I heard something behind me, managed to get out the way in time. I think it was a real fell runner. He said thanks. Could have been posted as "todays embarrassment"!
Still the cake and coffee were great and the bus was on time..............
A poor 5 miles from Langsett. I found it very tough, pretty muddy and windy. lots of tracks from MS recciers (is that a word??) loads of walkers out there with too many dogs off leads.
5.30 mile XC run around Sherdley Park this afternoon. One very muddy park after yesterdays XC Champs.
A beauty today....7000' ascent and 15 miles, and loads of snow!! Llanberis, Eldir Fach and Fawr, over the ridgeline towards Ogwen and climb up Y Garn, down to the stream flowing to Nant Peris and stright up the side of Elidir Fawr again - 2000' and near vertical on grass and snow and then down round the edge of the quarries and back
5 hours out and i'm shattered
A belting day. 6mile walk on Dales Way this morning including calling for sweets in the shop at Burnsall (I had white choc buttons with 100s and 1000s, g/f fudge) and two and quarter hour headtorch run this evening from Kildwick :)
Instead of my recent Monday routine of 30 minutes easy in the morning and then 30 minutes steady in the afternoon after 30 minutes of core stability work.
I followed the core stability workout with an hour run. First half at an easy pace then picked up on the second half by almost a minute per mile.
4 miles on skeggy seafront . nice and bracing
yesterday 4miles easy around haslam and ashton parks
This evening 45 min spinning session
Where were you Dr S?
Any Hoo
6.5 mile hilly road race, certainly nothing like up to my usual standard yet but felt good to try and put in a bit of speed. Still 5 minutes down on what i would have done :( really struggled on the uphills)
Blue Bike jogged passed. managed to catch piglet by the last hill.

I ran round in just over 52 minutes, I think Russ did it in 48, one or two othere were well inside that time.

Weights only this morning in the garage (brrrr).
No running again for a week. Each time I think my knee is niggle free and plan to run the next day, it flares up again.
I'm putting that call into the physio today.:(
I am walking to work and back, and then i am also going to try and walk up 9 floors or 18 lots of stairs, you lot would find it a doddle.
It all helps NB :)
Likewise I'm walking to and from work at the moment, though will probably run home tomorrow.
Lunchtime today, 33 minutes at an easy pace mainly zigzagging around the local park.
2.5 mile easy off-road this morning
10 mile steady road this evening...including one long sustained hill in the middle
turbo tomorrow
Mickledon straddle route
very muddy up there, still with patches of snow but these will be gone by the weekend. The return climb was sooooooooo wet, much more so than last year. there will be tired legs at the top.
Struggled abit but not as much as iI thought.
