You sound in fine shape at the moment Daz - The longer you run the more chance of the chavvies findin you.
Was out on the roads tonight and one of the twats started running behind me - everyone on here mujst have had that at some point. I just speeded up and the tosser had to drop out - hope he looked a d'head in front of Sharon or Tracey or Chantal or Courtney etc etc ( sorry - no offence intended to any non - chav Sharon or Traceys who maybe reading this)
The best one is when there's a big fat one amongst them who comments on your 'skinny little legs'... then you turn round and say 'Rather have my skinny little legs than your BIG FAT ASS!'... then the other chavettes turn round to her/it and say 'Ha! Ha! Shelly/Kelly/etc...' - or as I live in Manchest-AH... Shell-EH!/Kell-EH!/Etc. :)
8 miles this afternoon on howarth moor
well i tried to get to sleep:(
so i couldnt so went for a quick 4 miles at 2.00am :)
quite cold but no chavs and its raining
Geez Daz, I have troubled sleeping sometimes but never felt the need to go for a run!
Thou I did wake up at 2 this morning and contemplate it as punishment for my body waking me up.........I think the thought lasted about 3 secs before I was asleep again!:D
Oh last night for me was just an hours bike ride as a bit of a niggly pain in my right hamstring. All seems ok this morning!
Short run tonight then tomorrow am planning on a long ish run.
Ooo as I type this think I might head up to darwin tower think that'll be about 13 miles off road for me.......then lostock 6 on sunday.
No training since Sunday's 1/2 marathon; I've been back in bed with a resurgent lurgy, and to the docs (generic anti-biotics), might try and get out today...geting pretty fed up.:(
Cheers - Raymond
Me neither calf, but I do find daz's ability to go for a run at silly times quite admirable, it is a great time of the day, I have been for walks at that time when i have been in the countryside :D
I am not sure i would dare round my way, even if I could get up and motivate myself, I have a feeling there might be some proper scum bags around, being as I live inner city and I am a bit scared  do druggies and people like that come out at night?
4th day of swimming, did a mile of free-style at Middleton pool during the adult lane swim this morning and got roped in to do the Swimathon 2007.:)
Since ive been running in Leeds ive got more abuse in 6 weeks than ever before in my life. 2 chav girls (1 pregnant with her drug-addled loser boyfriends baby) commented the other week as i ran past (i was long gone before id thought of a suitable riposte) and today a car full of lads whooped at me (so i gave them the finger). oh the joys of city running!

Managed my highest ever mileage for a week as well a getting a decent tan and lots of rest.
Will def' look into going back again next winter.
7 miles easy in Heaton Park, out via the Crem and via Blackley Forest.
Had a long slow run from sunnyhurst woods Darwen across to winter hill and back. Managed 18 miles and 3300ft of climb. It just started to rain as I was on my way back.
Walking in the lakes tommmorow, probably do a leg of the BG, hope the rain stops.
Jamie
Easy day then Jamie :DQuote:
''Managed 18 miles and 3300ft of climbing''
I'm still swimming, did a mile of freestyle at Heywood at dinner time. Going to try my first run of the week tomorrow, wish me luck. :)
Good Luck with that Danbert,
Im still not 100% back to normal but felt better. I was really blowing for the 1st twenty minutes. I've entered the 3 peaks so trying to get the longs in, if anything.
Ive cut my running down to 4 days per week, till my chest gets right, bloody winter.
How come your swimming Danbert, you injured again? You seemed alright at the relays.
Jamie
4 miles and all canal , loads of wildlife :)
Just got back from a great day in the lakes, did leg1 of the BG anti clockwise. Halls fell was okay going up, I would not fancy it coming down.
We did well with the route finding and managed some good lines between Blencathra and Great Calva and Great Calva and Skiddaw
The rain held off until the approach to skiddaw. It got quite blustery and wet on skiddaw.
Today made me realise Im gonna need many many more days out in the lakes if Im going to have any chance of a BG. Im pretty knacked
Jamie
Long time since I have posted on the training thread, but thats not to say I haven't been training hard!
6 x 5mins off 2 mins jog today with long warm up and even longer warm down. Got soaked on the Stockport 10 route.
Friday - 1hour on turbo trainer - decent session
Today - Inter counties at Nottingham. Was a bit disapointed with my run tbh. i usually manage around 170th - 190th place in this event. havent seen the result yet but i think i was probably out of the top 200.

You mean this guy!!!!??????!!!!!!
My view was distracted elsewhere  (it couldn't have been RR with that dark hair!)
Dave, were you please with your 10th place?
Yes I was very pleased with it, been struggling with injury all week and it was touch and go if Id be able to run...cutting the training down this week could be a blessing in disguise (provided the injury doesnt return)
Somebody shouted "Go on Bisto" as I ran up the hill, wasn't you was it?
Anyone have anymore pics of the inters counties? and full results interested to see how lancs team did?
14 miles over the Downs this am (Woodingdean, Kingston, Swanborough, Rodmell, Saltdean and back home) - very muddy but it was good to be back out again.
Cheers - Raymond
A grand day out...19 miles and 4500ft around the Long Mynd. Blustery, one or two showers, touched an electric fence:eek: , one nasty dog, but just generally FANTASTIC :)
16 miles/2200', 11:03 pace, AHR 148 bpm. Did the oats & nana thing before, 2 cis gels and felt fine.
Bumped into a whole host of celebs along the way, including Sparth Senior, Sparth, Spirit in the Sky and Rapunzel.
