Cracking run up Simon's Seat yesterday, late afternoon with dominion, followed by a pint in the sunshine outside the Craven Arms
nice 18 miles FRiday at Bowland, cracking 8 miles yesterday there, the weather was wonderful, as soon as i got to the top of saddle fell, i could see south lakes range, ingle and pyg, what a great day and reminder of why i love this hobby
6 hour amble from ings up around kentmere then dropped in at wilfs then a steady trot back t watermill
After another 3 weeks of shin splints, i did an hour this morning around Heaton Park, be warned the carparks have stroppy mares charging a £1 to park, so if you got the car with you, park near Heaton Park Metrolink, its free!
Jogged, Walked, Laughed, yep at myself mainly...
My new shoes are now full of mud, and my feet are burning (wrong type of socks)
Enjoyed the fresh air, lovely place is Heaton Park, shame it has to be spoilt by a funfair...
You must have bumped in to the only snotty park attendant in the park. The ones I pay each time I go are lovely people. We have been there for the last few hours and the place is packed out. Infact the car park was closed when we left due to numbers. Great to see I can park in a lovely park in Greater manchester for just a £1.
1:36:15hr. Greenfield - Pots n' Pans - Alderman - spectacular wipe out by Tilly on descent to Binn Green - back to base via Tanners to drop off hobbling defective dog  - out the door again and upto trig on Alphin and return. A crackin' outing :)....barring Tilly's tumble....
Last longish run before Moelwyn 3p's....
Yep i must have got the stroppy one, if she had been alittle nicer i would not have had a problem paying £1 to park there.
I went way before the fair had even started, so i did not see why i was being charged to park, anyhow, it is a beautiful park, a really nice place to run in!
Glad you had a fun day! x
5 mile today to ease the legs after the waltz.:)
9 miles on the Rossy fells and then an extra mile when i got to the top of my street.

Hill Reps on Winter Hill with Emmi this evening.
Never been to winter hill before, and never done hill reps before.
Knee felt reasonably fine, just a pain in my right inside ligament when going down hill.
Ive never worn just a vest before but i decided it was too humid to wear my helly so i gave Emmi the delight of seeing my auschwitz-arms and giving my ponies vest a run out.:D
On the bike home from Emmis, going though Avenham Park a group of not very hard looking lads and girls passed me and one right skinny runt shouted some abuse at me, why i do not know but i had a massive urge to turn round and go and re-arrange his face.
I am not one to go fight, especially when the odds are ten to one.... so i carried on and just let the images of battering the cocky shite stay in my head....bastard!
thanks Al, Pinno. it wasn't too fast maybe BG pace or tad quicker but over rougher ground and with no previous knowledge of terrain. Once started I didn't really stop other than to check a map or take a picture.
Excellent hill days though:D
75 mins on Chevin and Danefield with club, hazy up there tonight & quite cool at the summit car park (Beacon House/Surprise view). Nice pint of Landlord after at Royalty:)

No, i just plodded on in the end, i saw a podiatrist, which i have to say i was not very impressed, i saw a health trainer, but wasn't given much help, i bought a book, which helps, have had loads of advice, again helps, but i keep getting to go and something comes up.
I have a theory if i lose more weight my ankles and shins might get better, just abit weak. I have lost 15lb upto now, which isn't so bad!
A swift 10 miler, ran up all the climbs i normally walk up, they seem molehills compared to what i've been up since saturday, sure i'll be walking up them again soon:rolleyes:

Not enough time to do my planned long run, so just a short 5m recovery run today, felt good after first 2m uphill, beautiful day, getting a bit of a suntan thing going on, or is it cos i didn't have a shower this morning:eek:
Gargrave to Bingley on canal bank, 19 miles, flat as anything except a rather exciting descent at Five Locks, so how did I manage to fall AOT at 10 miles and have to run the rest with a big, bloody knee and grazed elbows??
6.25 mile today at a good pace around Cronton and Pex Hill. Great afternoon for running.
2:15:22hr. Greenfield - Pots n' Pans - Alderman - Ashway Rocks - descent - Doves Edge (direct Ascent) - Fox Stone - res - Wimberry - Alphin - home!
