10 minutes walk to a level stretch of road then 3x 3min jog/2min walk, then the walk home again.
One legged weighted squats when I got home, followed by loads of stretching, an ice bandage on my knee.
And so far no problems. Touch wood.
7 miles over Moel Gamelin this morning covering around 3000ft of ascent. First good fell run in a long while and boy did I feel it. Lovey sunny morning over Llangollen.
2 mile bike ride, wharmton dash, 2 mile back ride home.
A couple of hours over Beamsley Beacon and Round Hill area. Wonderful to be out with just the curlews, meadow pipits and golden plover for company

An hour last night in just me shorts (no other kit! :D) as a sort of recovery from Saturday. Couldn't get to either Kinder Trog or Wharmton this weekend, c'est la vie. :o
did a lot of weights in the gym yesterday feeling it today, need to get a clock for the sauna 50 minutes oven roasted bird shame it only did one side:confused:
Just nipping out for 30-40mins or so of speedy pace on the flat (for a bit o' variety). Couldn't get the to the DP summer league race this evening (too bloomin' far!), sure IDP will post the details later on tonight. :p
Maybe 15 or 16 miles on Saturday up Whernside from Ingleton, across to Ingleborough and back down, circa 8 yesterday up over Smearsett Scar and back via Moughton to Helwith Bridge and perhaps as many as three tonight up and down the hill out back :).
Good race with lightning flash all around. felt pretty good but made a dire route choice which dumped me well back with all the other runners in the distace when we came back:(. absolutely caned in the second half and caught 5 other runners.
missed my bonus points by seconds letting my closest rival win the race and take bonus points:(
The fat lady aint out yet....:D
Glad it'll be more local next time, a bit too far for me to get over after work. See you on Wed at Rowlee hopefully! :)
First run in many moons today (well 10 weeks )
lets see how long it takes to get back to where i was :(
Just stay away from those deep-fried Mars Bars, won't you? :p
As before, 10 min warm up, 3x 3 min jog/2 min walk, 10 min walk home again, then loads of stretching and remedial leg exercises. Hell of a job trying to hold my pace back on the jogs.
A slight tenderness around my knee, but putting that down to just getting used to the running again. Got an ice bandage on again now.
20 mins hill climb on treadmill at a slower pace than 10 weeks ago..but felt good..building some lost leg strength back
then into gym for some all-over strength work
easy run tomorrow to start and build some fitness back
and before you know it....'I'll be back' said in the accent of the governor of california :D
there's no place called slippery stones up here...that im aware of..thus the new name reflects the area that i am living in now and pays homage (in a way) to the song at the end of (one of) my favorite films
so a starter for 10...whats the song and the film that its at the end of ? the clue is in the city i work
copy/keep hold of the book as i will need it again..cheers
My sixth 5k on the treadmill. My third week back and plodding on! Have knocked 3 min 15off my first time already! :)
Still oh so slow tho and walked for 2 minutes. It is hard work starting from scratch! :(
Everything feels ok though so will start upping the distance maybe in two more weeks. I think it will be a while before I dare venture back out into the great outdoors...besides the gym has a creche!
5 miles on the roads tonight
6 road miles (but only jogging).
DP club race tonight, "Crookstone Crashout". Up from Rowlee Bridge, touch Blackden Trig, down to Edale YH, back up and over, descending via Crookstone Knoll. 4 and a bit miles, ~1800ft.
Finished in 1h 9m, rain had stopped just before the start. A magic evening! :)
5 mile on Pex Hill tonight after the heavy rain
6 mile on Pex Hill tonight with Tryfan and Sinatra.
Father's Day treat - several ups and downs over the Ladybower end of Kinder from Rowlee Bridge. 3hrs, 4000ft. :)
Rained for the entire time. :(
