Hilly 10-miler on Friday evening in the North Downs. 1hr 20m, not bad for me.
Then spent the whole weekend in the pub more or less, to undo all the good work.
Don't call me a fruit;)
Cowberry
Cloudberry
or the very rare
Bog billberry (only 1 know plant in the peak)
I might take payment for guided tours of wrecks and plants in the dark peak;)
30min trot out (gentle, like) as recovery from Sat. Found myself hobbling along, bloomin' painful quads. I wonder if RoadRunner's managed as much? :p
there is a Dark Peak (club not area) wrecks race although I don't think it has been run for a while, I'll try and dig the course out.
It can't be any harder than tonights race Broomhead bash ,
head high bracken, cliffs, streams, vertical cloughs, knee deep heather.
Hand sore from dragging my self up steep banks of Bilberry. Desperate :D
Not a long course but loads of route options non of which were good.
took me just over the hour for 6 miles :eek:
5k on the roads early this morning in fine drizzle and a bit quicker than yday - Club training night to follow tonight.
Later on. A run upto Alphin from home with my dog, then meet my club and run back down. Then dive into the pub

17 miles with about 1000ft
managed it in 2hr 30m but it nearly bloody killed me - I was actually crying at one point.
About 6 miles straight out from the new shed - down the bottom of the road and into the countryside, up toward Ringinglow and then across the road past Whirlow Farm and into what I believe may be the Limb Valley. The council had fortunately nailed some maps to signposts. .
Managed around a 50 min run up and down the woods/gardens at Alton Towers whilst on a school trip. Very wet.
A really good club run from Brinscall Bath tonight.
Through the woods, across the moor to almost great hill, across the stream to the burial ground, across some very muddy moors to a track. Through some muddy cow-sh*te field, through abit more wood and back to brinscall.
Has to be one of my favourite runs so far, had a bit of everything in it and it was quite a good hard pace after kentmere.
1hr 30.

Up to the Skarrett Stone then up lond clough to the Derwent watershed. back along to Outer edge dropped down to aircraft wreck over to tea plant and back vis cut gate. just under 10 miles of boggy mayhem;) conditions under foot were March like.
10 mile loop from the Robin Hood at Baslow, a casual 1hr 31
Past Moorside Rocks, along Baslow, Curbar and Froggatt edges, up to the Grouse inn and back along White Edge and Birchens.
It was quite muddy and slippery beneath Gardoms but surprisingly firm under foot along White Edge.
Pleasant enough conditions but struggled a bit with a sore left hamstring.:(
No steady run last night...
parkland reps instead 3 x 600 (undulating), 3 x 200 (hill), 3 x 100 (Hill)
