He's got the look .
I wonder if those shoes would be any good on the fells ?
Barefoot golfing?
I might well be the Imelda Marcos of barefoot running. This is due to the phenomenal amount of shoes that I have purchased in my five year quest to find the right shoe for me. My present thoughts are that no shoe is the right shoe for me and hence my jumping on the barefoot bandwagon, during my foray into barefoot running I have found that mountain running or trail running barefoot is for the well'ard, so I need something on my feet. Hence my shoe of choice for fell and trail is the X-talon, and everything else is either VFF or barefoot.
This has left me with a large shelf of reasonably good condition shoes which could be going cheep if anyone's interested...
I've got a decent pair of Mudclaws 330, Mountain bear glads, and the orange montrails that came out before the highlander. All size 10 apart from the montrails that are size 9.5, PM if interested :)
Hi my name is Luc,
I'm a minimalist shoes addict. :o
One of my best friend is acusing me of being the Imelda Marcos of minimalist shoes...
Half of my addiction problem I have is because I'm trying to find decent minimalist shoes to wear at the office. They must get unnoticed by coworkers Police Shoes Wannabes. I'll have to chose between, Vivo Dharma, Camper Peu and Sanuk Overboard...
The other half is because I'm trying to find something that will work in the mountains and in marathon when forecats are telling me that I might end up having problems dealing with themperature control...
And don't tell others I'm piling up material that I'll use trying to find out my ultimate variant of Huaraches sandals... :o
Try finding minimalist shoes for working on a building site! Impossible. I do mainly private work so don't need to wear toe protecting boots but really should do. I'm looking into modifying a pair of converse Allstars somehow.
In my work I sometimes have to go to the "garage" part of our building. Of course safety shoes are mandatory. I try to avoid those visits as much as I can because my feet can't stand being in those damn safety shoes!
Recently got some black leather Vivo Dharmas for work - the most comfy shoes I've ever worn for my wide high arched flippers, especially with the insoles removed. They do however look to me a lot like those old fashioned slippers my dad used to wear - mind you, can't be too bad as no one at work has made a comment yet. btw I'm currently having to take a week or so out of running due to calf strain (both legs) as a consequence of getting a bit carried away on one of my first 'barefoot' (ie aqua shoes) runs. Doh!:(
Vivo Barefoot have a whole new range of shoes, some even look "normal"!
