Competition time ..first correct answer wins a free day out - Running ,Climbing , Navigation ,remote first aid ,safety in the mountains ect...All entrants to read/understand Ians Hypothermia leaflet before the day out...can include safe river crossing -white water rescue ect to suit...no southerners(unless living up North :o or forum bullies.:cool:

Why do forum wind-up characters feel the need for punctuational affectations? It seems this time it's question marks.
I see what you mean but there are difficulties with the definition. For example a Scottish lady whom I know veeeery well describes me as a soft southerner but I'm Northern English. I'm sure that this would be an open and shut case of pure geographicalism if only I could find it in the Oxford dictionary.
Sorry if my "punctual affections " cause you so much grief..really can't explain where they came from .
