Re: Overweight to Race-weight
I'm not really 0 kg, Pat. I finally decided I'm running again tomorrow (if I can get to Mytholmroyd) after a month's injury & illness & Xmas stuffing (oo er missus). 71.5 kg, target 65 kg.

Re: Overweight to Race-weight
I'm now back in the land of the Internet and a new weight of 138 lb. A loss of 1 lb. Not loads but it's not a gain :-)
-
Re: Overweight to Race-weight
Hi, weighing in today as not able to tomorrow, no gain and no loss still the blooming same 66kg, you would think that running in the freezing cold would burn more calories but obviously not.

Be positive SCham youv'e not increased and still have a week to improve as 30th is the next weigh day.

Re: Overweight to Race-weight
30th? That's a big relief. My starting weight was taken after circuit training & sprints and I have since discovered that I'm at least a pound heavier in reality...must have sweated a lot. Combined with the fact that I haven't run for two days due to hurting my knee, I was thinking I would be in the hall of shame tomorrow

Re: Overweight to Race-weight
I would have thought that too. It doesn't seem fair does it? I ran an extended route in the snow of the three peaks last week and found I'd put weight on the day after...what's that all about?!

Re: Overweight to Race-weight
I'm hungry. No biscuits in the house (the kids aren't happy about that, but I do the shopping). No Xmas cake left. All the remaining chocolate in the house has been hidden, as they all know I'll pinch it given half a chance. And tea won't be till 9:15 tonight as the kids have got band practice. Still, I've got to get the lbs off if I want to get more than this month's paltry 49 forum champs points next month. Perhaps another apple...

Re: Overweight to Race-weight
Just found a Mars bar in the fridge. I think it was part of my emergency food for the Trigger. Its gone now I've realised the weigh-in is on the 30th

Re: Overweight to Race-weight
ha ha, I raided my running backpack last night too. Found a chewy cereal bar partially covered in chocolate, yum! Weighed this morning and I'm back to 139lbs so I don't know where that other pound came from.

I found two Aldi Mars bars copies on Sunday, also Trigger left overs. There was only one place they were going to go :o

Re: Overweight to Race-weight
62.5 :)
I am planning on loosing half a kilo a week, so that is all going to plan. When I come back from training camp mid february I hope to have achieved my raceweight again :)

Are ye not a bit on the early side, it should be the 30th!

Ah well, we shall weigh again the 30th then... :)

The date is under the table.
-
Re: Overweight to Race-weight
I'm quite glad weigh in isn't this week although I have now replaced my usual sliced granary with crisp breads and will only be eating bread at weekends and I'm trying to cut down on the sugar in my tea by going from a heaped teaspoon to a 3/4 flat teaspoon...slowly slowly, catchy monkey...or something like that!;)
Well done Freckle, Hanneke and Old Whippet though.
-
Re: Overweight to Race-weight
I seem to be up and down at present! I was away last week but weighed myself today and was 12st 2lb!!? So thats good!! If I can just keep it off! :)
-
Re: Overweight to Race-weight
I'm just pleased that I've not put anything on since the last weigh-in! Still got time to shed a few pounds.
-
Re: Overweight to Race-weight
I always weigh myself on Monday mornings so can you count my weight this Wednesday as 164 pounds please. Two whole pounds down - my 'full on' diet of not having a sandwich and a cake when I visit post run tea shops is having effect :)
-
Re: Overweight to Race-weight
I too am using Monday morning as my weight-in. I'm clocked in at 78.3. Which is 07.kg (1.5 lbs) down.
Not earth shattering but going in the right direction. I was ~77.5kg middle last week but I went to the dogs over the weekend being out for dinner twice which of course (pun!) included delightful deserts.
Report Card states
Must try harder! :o

Re: Overweight to Race-weight
I'll jump in early with my weight update if that's ok. Just weighed myself this morning after getting back from my skiing hols in the Alps and I am 63kg.
A 1kg loss, which I should be happy about considering I've been eating loads on holiday. But I'm not cause I only lost weight after throwing up, in pain, and not eating for the last two days of my hols. Come home to a letter from the hospital saying my gall bladder's knackered and they want to remove it. Explains a lot. I'm all for losing weight but I'd rather do it in a more healthy way tbh and it means more time off from training :boohoo:
-
Re: Overweight to Race-weight
I need an extra couple of days before I declare mine
-
Re: Overweight to Race-weight
I've reached my high water mark for this year. I'm now finishing my cheese eating season, so am looking forward to getting back into scrawny wippet shape. I've added my stats below

Re: Overweight to Race-weight
Noel,
Can you delete your table/post please. Pat and I are trying to keep a pit of order to the table. I updated the official table with your details in the proper position in the table.
-
Re: Overweight to Race-weight
Back to 171lbs, which is no surprise. In the process of giving up the booze. But using food as a distraction.
In some respects I'm surprised it's not more as I've been piling the food down the cake hole.
-
Re: Overweight to Race-weight
Not an overwhelming change for me but at least it is in the right direction. 138.4lbs for me.
-
Re: Overweight to Race-weight
My weight has been a bit up and down, I was down to 11.3 then back up to 11.5st. Yesterday morning I was 11.4st perfect I thought. I went for a run in the morning and came back ravenous, I just wanted to eat all-day.Looking back I had little protein just carbs really not sure if this is why I was so hungry??? So I am now back to 11.5st.

Re: Overweight to Race-weight
70.0kg. A bit of progress, but I'm still not fit enough to run properly.
-
Re: Overweight to Race-weight
163.6 lbs for me. Not run since the Hebden, due to injury and a cold, so the tactic to run the weight off has been put on hold for the time being and an alternative plan put into place. No beer till I start running again!
