Did a walking recce yesterday of most of the route. Agree with both of you about the track round Kirk Fell to the bottom of Gable. Anyone know if there is a decent line that avoids the rocks ?
Made a big mistake off Seatallan and ended up on top of Red Pike, and that was in perfect visibility !

going to recce the first half of this tomorrow, any tips please on the route from Seatallon to Pillar without ending up on Haycocks which I did last year and got timed out at Pillar!!
