When I went down to the base where we do recruit training it was littered with Spar's :(

They have very similar paths then, ours is also a WO2 (Master Driver), done 21+2 years service so far. Both of them go to show, that despite somewhat wasted teenage years, surprising how the forces can bring the best potential out of people.

Yes, ours probably shagged the other half! He had at least 4 tours out there, one of them driving for Bomb Disposal and playing with assorted seized ordnance at week ends.;)

almost in the RAF. maybe as well I didn't? who know's? sliding doors moment maybe but although passing the exam (and distictlinctly remembering choosing the wessex sea king when asked to name an air craft and remembering fondly back to a boy who given the clue 'it's the name of a bird' replied "Robin" :rolleyes:) was told they 'weren't taking on for the military at that time, but if I wanted I could pack parachutes'! errrr no thanks, not so sure I want to risk my packing (in)abilities with anyone really!

Emmi, if you had been packing the parachutes, you may have kept Wheeze in a job :D.
