Don't worry Ady, there'll plenty of scran. These LDWA events are well noted for their catering both on the course (typically cake, biscuits, fruit, sweets, sandwiches etc), and afterwards, (often some kind of stew and then very traditionally rice pudding and tinned fruit). Put something you like in your bag just in case you flag a bit between checkpoints and you'll be fine :cool:Quote:

I was up on Ilkley Moor Saturday and Beamsley Beacon / Round Hill area Sunday and it's very firm and dry. I might have worn road shoes at the weekend, if I had any :(:pQuote:

My first event for 3 years ! Was going really well in about 9th place til Beamsley Beacon, when I hit the wall. Eventually struggled home in 24th - 4 hours 26 mins (despite a wrong turning after Timble).
