Three years ago I was 101kg & could hardly walk 100yards :o:o:o:o
You've come a long way then. Well done! That's a major achievement!
I'm not quite sure what I weigh as I don't have scales for fear of getting obsessed but my annual weigh in at my sister's house usually is about 62-63kg and I'd ideally like to be about 60ish. (I think that's right...I don't really do kilos, I'm a stones woman!).
11st 0lb due to Christmas, & I'm aiming to get down to 10st 5lb for a BG attempt in June. Don't know nothing about these kg things, but I'm not bad with rods, poles & perches...
I would be grateful if I could be added to this please? I'm afraid I've not been properly fit for nearly 10 years and look like someone has inflated me with a bike pump. Currently 15st 3Ibs (96kg) at a height of 6 ft and am aiming to get down to 11st 7Ibs (73kg) in 6 months-ish. Racing weight is just under 11 st but I'll try getting close before I worry about that. I'm 29 and really want to get back in shape and racing before I hit 30. Aim is to get fit for a few shortish races from late april onward and build up race distance from there - always preferred the longer stuff. Training started this week and from my current fitness level there is plenty of pain ahead!
im 36 yrs old 5"11 currently 12 n a harf stone, was over 13 stone 12 months ago wana get to 12 stone in nxt 6 months, think id prod be happy at that trying to do it by exercise alone no diets!
Right this thread is all over the place, and as a result it probably won't take off like last years did.
First we need to decide our measurement of choice. At the minute we have kg, lbs and stones it's a bit of a mess. I vote for pounds as it's a lot easier to track your progress without having to do measurements to decimal places. Pounds was also the measurement of choice last year, so why not stick with it?
Secondly if people want to join in then just copy and paste the last list and add your details to it - simple.
When I embarked upon project "fell running" as opposed to "occasionally running around the moors" in September I was 210lb (6'1")....a big unit. Target was to get under 196lb by New Year's Day (for race). Ran the race at 194lb approx. I have eased up on the calorie counting and allowed myself to drink again since, whilst actually stepping up mileage. I'm still at that weight.
The intention is to, very steadily, get about another 12lb off during the year and to see where I am in terms of beefy vs scrawny then. Don't want to be too scrawny.
28 years ago, when I was last a competitive athlete, I was the same height but my racing weight was just over 150lb. There is no chance of getting there again....unless I'm unfortunate enough to become gravely ill.
So, starting now 194lb, target 182lb by year's end.
Will people please decide how they want this thread to run and then I'll sort out the list. If no ones interested in the next few days i'll take it the thread has died and not bother. Ta
Maps, Metric, Races, Metric, Weight, Metric, come on all you fat boys and girls if an old fart like me can cope with Metric all you young un's should be able to.
All I know is I'm a bit porky and not getting much less porkier!!! 81kg now. Bit depressed.....
Oh! I'm happy with kilo's as I found a converter thingy, but I do like imperial...so either. Tho' I am used to metric now you started your list in metric, so actually go metric!!! I think....yes, metric. Ta!
Keep up the good work.
Oh all right then. I'll rephrase mine:
70kg due to Christmas, & I'm aiming to get down to 65kg for a BG attempt in June.
I was 80 Kg 6 months ago when I set a target of 70Kg (11 st ish). Went well for 3 months or so and I am now about 74Kg but I have stagnated a bit lately.
Maybe this will give me back the motivation!
metric/imperial converter here!

I prefer stones/pounds, but I think I can cope with kgs... :closed:
So how's the regime going everyone? I had a bad start, then saw some pics of me running with the remains of my Christmas beer belly so I'm on a mission now. Are we updating weight at the end of the month?
Right good to see the thread has gained some interest again. I'll be getting the list in order on tuesday so if anyone wants to get there name and details down do so now. The forum has decided and it's kilograms so please post your current weight, planned weight and any updates in kilos.
The list will be live tuesday and first weigh in on the 1st. Weigh in's will continue bi weekly throughout the year.
I'll do my best to keep the list under control. Good luck one and all.
Important question though, when do you weigh yourself?
I know I can be 2 to 3 Kg lighter after my long Saturday morning run when compared to when I get home from sitting down all day at work! So which is my true weight?
75.91 kg to 73.18 kg
Well I was 75.91 kg and I'm aiming for 73.18 kg and I currently weigh 75.45 kg.
(Translated into poundage I was 11st 13 aiming for 11st 7 and I'm currently 11st 12)
Weight this morning - 88kg (13st 11) :o (In my defence, I have an ex-rugby player's physique!)
Target weight - 82kg (12 stone 13).
Bring it on!!
Ps Thanks in advance for attempting to sort this thread out Eavesy. This could be just the motivation I need...

Stagger have you gone all Italian cruise captain on us and jumped ship? Or are you still in on sorting this out and keeping it up to date?
Kilos are a harsh master - they seem to come off about half the speed of lbs ...
I had good success for 3 months when I managed to get rid of 5Kg.
Stop my "just before bed" cheese sandwich!,
My lunch is gone from bread and cheese, etc to a bean curry thingy (my wife is disgusted by that!)
Stop going to Asda (next door to work) for an afternoon snack.
Stop eating up the excess food after the kids (yet again) reject a perfectly good dinner
In summary cut down on the fat/carbohydrates and
be disciplined by avoiding eating between the three main meals (that is the key one)
