Assuming I have figured out attaching this, there should be an aerial pic attached of what the course looks like in sunny weather!! :eek:
From the map I thought it was going to be a big pull from CP1 to CP2 but on the actual run it didn't seem too bad. Looking at that shot shows why - CP1 is much further up the slope than you expect.
If you haven't come across it, this site (with Parlick in the highlighted grid square) http://www.geograph.org.uk/gridref/SD5945 - is useful for shots of race routes.
I've done this route many, many times and still managed to go wrong on the last bit to the trig.
When visibility is that poor and your trying to feel your way round, its surprising how your preconceptions are confounded.
Yes I had not realised that from Nicks Chair to Paddys Pole you were running along a ridge, it would have been so easy to go off, especially to the L where there was no fence.

I would, but it clashes with the longer Noonstones race on the same day which is one of my faves.
