Get rid of the TV, too much to do! Mind you i watched a film on the Lap top last night. Revolver, it was quite good.
I don't think I could survive without my laptop... when mine was being pressed back into life I borrowed the work one...
Mine was sent back to the manufacturer because it wouldn't turn on, when they sent it back and said they couldn't find a problem! It's worked since
I seem to be able to get on this one too! Checked the local athletics site yesterday for results of fridays race and was told i couldn't look on the site because of "adult content"!! Men in running vests and shorts??
I am in charge of computers and everything technical at work, so I can do what I like :D
Life without TV didn't start well this morning. Got up, went downstairs, put kettle on then turned on the telly to watch breakfast news :o Think I need to put it in the shed to progress
I haven't had a TV since I moved here over 7 years ago.
The bloke from the TV licensing came round to check. I don't think he believed me until I showed him where I'd wallpapered over the aerial socket.
"We shan't be troubling you again," he reassured me.
Boy is whoever moves in when I move out going to go mental!
Also
Amazed how many people on this forum haven't got one. Much higher percentage than the average. I am the only one at work and only know one other person (also an off road runner and walker!) who is without.
And
The internet requires care, much out there that shouldn't be and a timewasters dream ticket
"The Idiot Box" as Don Tonay called it!
Got one, but never turn it on.
If C4 started showing the TDF I may be tempted, not likely to happen though.
Don't get me started on my TV License rant.....
Did without one for a year or two.
Amazed at what people thought ("No TV?!?")
Tempted to get rid, but think that Mrs. Cantona may have something to say!
Hardly ever watch TV now. Just need to keep off the internet and do more running.:o
...or any of the million and one things that seem to get left.:o
Cantona, I am with you... people always think it is a bit odd I have no TV...
Second day with breakfast tv. Reckon I've cracked it! :):)
Hi
Get rid of the tv - then you've cracked it! :p
I haven't had one for about 10 years! Just get a decent screen and dvd system for those cosy evenings in. I use my lap top but it's not great - must get that sorted!
Stef
I use my laptop for watching DVD's and think it is great, as I can have it anywhere I want, in front of the fire, in the kitchen, in bed... :D
Not had my tv on since Tuesday morning. If I can get to next Tuesday it's going in the shed :)
Bored. :( Might have to go and watch some telly.;)
Just checked the listings... I can wait until 9 for... Bulletproof Monk:D
10pm Sky Movies Premier 'Wanted' heard its not very good but Brangelina's in it:rolleyes:
ITV's Best Ever Ads 2 on ITV.
Hang on... how can they be the best ever if they didn't make it to Best Ever Ads 1 ???
Its going!!
Best the BBC can offer this evening is a repeat of June Whitfield This is your life and its time for life without tv
