Well that sites getting banned usually happen when a student gets caught on it...........so unless there is a sudden rise in preston college students on the forum i think you may get away with it Em.

Life without TV didn't start well this morning. Got up, went downstairs, put kettle on then turned on the telly to watch breakfast news Think I need to put it in the shed to progress

    Your hi-fi DT.

Nice Smiths lyric recently by the way.

Cut the plug off. Much easier.

...make sure you unplug it first!

    Re: Life without TV?

I haven't had a TV since I moved here over 7 years ago.
The bloke from the TV licensing came round to check. I don't think he believed me until I showed him where I'd wallpapered over the aerial socket.
"We shan't be troubling you again," he reassured me.
Boy is whoever moves in when I move out going to go mental!

    Also

Amazed how many people on this forum haven't got one. Much higher percentage than the average. I am the only one at work and only know one other person (also an off road runner and walker!) who is without.

    And

The internet requires care, much out there that shouldn't be and a timewasters dream ticket

"The Idiot Box" as Don Tonay called it!
Got one, but never turn it on.
If C4 started showing the TDF I may be tempted, not likely to happen though.
Don't get me started on my TV License rant.....

    Re: Life without TV?

Did without one for a year or two.
Amazed at what people thought ("No TV?!?")
Tempted to get rid, but think that Mrs. Cantona may have something to say!
