7 miles last night, Darwen tower and over to Roddlesworth wood, not a bad evening apart from the odd splash of rain.
Came accross these lovely autumn pics, thought i'd share these with you! :)

Great picture. I must have passed there this morning on my way through the woods from
the Hare & Hounds to Slipper Lowe. Didn't notice as I was too busy worrying about my sore foot.
Hope it will be ok for Edale on Sunday. I will have to wear Swoops instead of Mudclaws -
sacrificing grip for comfort.
Still very tired from yesterday so did 2x2miles steady either side of 30mins on the turbo.
45 mins around race course (with baby jogger) - first time I've worn a short sleeved top for about 6 months. . .very refreshing.
Round the gravy 6 route this evening with club vest on. Lovely weather but still knackered at the end
Went round in just over 35 mins
850m swimming at lunch, alternate 50m crawl & b/stroke.
having one of those nose clip jobs on helped a lot :)
just done 10 miles in 65, felt good once i'd got going
4 miles tonite with my lovely wife
Fellhell- did the nose clip really help? I tried one once and couldn't get on with it at all. How long did it take you?
1 mile in the pool last night. Absolutely shot afterwards. Just managed to get through League of Gentlemen before collapsing.
"You're my wife now"
Over my pf injury now.
4 miles at lunch, circuit training after work. God I'm unfit now!
10 minutes crosstrainer
2km steady pace treadmill
Indoor track - 100m sprint/100m steady x 5 = 1 set, 2 sets done
3000m row
half hour core stabilty - ouch:eek:
back later for spinning!:D
a brisk 7 miles
easin down now for edale
8 (eight) miles of reps
2x2mile as usual - disapointing times though 11:12 average compared to 10:55 last week.
Then 2x1mile (5:15, 5:19)
then another 2miler in 10:44.
Pleased to have ran the 7/8th miles faster than the 3/4th and by quite a margin - perhaps i wasnt warmed up properly enough at the beginning.
An hours spin class done - supposed to be spin 'extreme' but dissapointingly lame:( not the regular instructor I go to and although I'm sure he's a jolly nice bloke his motivational skills leave a lot to be desired:eek:
still got nice and sweaty though!:D
Three Peaks, god I ache!
Threw it down from halfway up Whernside to Horton, just drying out, hope it is not like that on race day.
I had a nighmare coming last in the clubs handicap race.
4.5 miles brisk in Heaton Park/Blackley forest today.
Yesterday 4 miles with 4 hill reps in Boggart Hole Clough.
Day before 6.5 miles at club.
7 Miles on winter hill done this morning although along the tops it was more 2 steps forward, 4 steps back:mad: thought I was going to take off it was that blustery:eek:
Ribs are more or less back to normal mate. Still feel as though I have a permanent stich but I guess that will get better with time.
Getting back into the running again - looking for a couple of smaller races soon. However I will have to make do with trail races from May onwards - moving to the USA with work for a few years
I may be spectating at the skyline Sunday - Maybe on Mam Tor. Smile as you pass - camera will be on you
40mins in the Chinese Gardens feels great after long lay off.:D
Yep I am definitely moving to the USA - probably early May. Family will follow a few weeks later.
Time is moving on and I am beggining to panic a little.
Will be moving to the Northern New England area and will be living in New Hampshire, ironically near a place called Manchester. Very cold in winter, very warm in summer. Lots of trails I have been told
Looking forward to it now
Nowt yesterday as I got home from work late and had been feeling crappy with a sore throat and runny nose.
Today 30miles in the woods. Six laps of a 5mile circuit. Fastest lap was the fifth.
That's a hell of a lot of trees!!
40 mins from home (80% off road) taking in Troydale/PudseyBeck/Sykes Wood -the woodland/beckside paths were drying out nicely so got away with road shoes but don't think I will tomorrow given this evening's rain plus snow forecast!!
I've just been getting in and out of the bath practising putting my socks on.
1 hour steady XC yesterday. Very windy and I got sunburn.
22 miles on the moors, in the sun, rain, snow, sleet and hail. And the very very strong wind. I was freezing at one stage and had to stop to tie my shoe lace. Then I just couldn't get warm so had to drop down a lot in height to see if that would warm me up. After about 30 mins more I got a little warmer and could head back up the hills. Think I will stop in bed this afternoon and watch TV.
20 miles/2500' on moors with Walker Boy. It was really wild up there today, VERY strong winds and hail. The approaching hail looked like smoke in the distance. The fine stuff hurt more than the big stuff. Never seen water run uphill before today.
If anyone has lost a burgundy Honda Civic its on the rough track between Woodhouse lane and Rooley Moor Road. Four 14/15 year old scallies have nicked it and got stuck on the track. The pace they ran at from the car - we should sign em up!
Judjing by those last two posts am very pleased i checked the forecast and decided to have a day off.
I did go on the turbo trainer for 90 mins but very easy spinning just to get me legs loosened off a bit.
11.5 miles over The Downs. Headwind the whole way. Felt awful
