5 mile trail route in the snow and ice..34 mins...which i was pleased with :D
About 13k on the garmin and 1200' climb. I ran into some deep drifts (for trying to run in :D ) on the approach, climb and descent off Knowl Hill stumbling into a snow filled gully up to my rib cage and then with a combined floundering/breast stroke action got myself out :)
I did feel a bit stronger on the initial climb of this run though so this 'snow training' is paying off
A lunchtime jog
nice 9 mile run around phillips park,clayton vale,woodhouses & daisy nook :)
am. no session, went skiing on yad moss
pm. 2 mile w/u, 5 x 1200m in 3.20, 200m recovery, 2 mile w/d
Total: 7.7 miles
Another two hours in the sunshine today- not fast but nice to get some miles in again. More and more compacted snow / ice but O shoes still doing the job.
Back to work tomorrow but may try to run there and back as I am quite into this now and don't have loads to carry tomorrow
Semi melted, rutted, refrozen snow is nowhere near as much fun to run on!
Ran to work today, 2.5* miles pavement/road
Ran back, different route so as to hit Tescos, 3.2* miles
Been using the waterproof off road trainers, which seem to have come into their own. Feet perfectly dry and not hot and sweaty, which seems to be the usually commented on 'con'.
*Simply measured on google earth.
Another trot around the village with the dog - nice and steady but my foot is feeling really good. Loving running on all this lovely snow! :)

Jason

3rd day, 2x2.5 miles, through/on snow, carrying weight (work stuff in rucksack).

Updating it now
just flogged myself at racing pace over a ten-mile North Downs route: really tough in the snow, the air stinging the lungs. Ran all the ups as fast as I could.
Really got it all out, feel absolutely brilliant.
Now for some lunch and some ale! :)
Couple of hours or so over Pendle today, was a bit nippy with the wind on top! Forgot to take my shades as the wind was blowing powder off the drifts all the time! :p
Saw loads of Skiers and Snowboarders traipsing up the hill for some deep snow action.
14 mile bloody cold ont lungs, coughing like ten men when back in the warmth, bath now.
did five miles in fields and over mossley cross and hartshead pike,i wouldn't call it a run, more stumble, fall, slide, slip then run for a little bit before repeating the process, hate this snow, cant wait to get back training properley again
5ml / 1000ft up Beamsley Beacon. Met Guick Dotto skiing down  Stunning sunset and cannot believe amount of snow on surrounding hills :)
7.5 miles trail/field path and woodland run - mostly around Calverley Millenium Walk. Deepest snow only a mere 6 inches:(
Stunning sunset here too just as I was finishing run
I had one or two problems with humungous snow drifts today - my route over a stile off Stockdale Lane :D

5.5 mile 1100ft tough going but nice and quite. Really enjoyed myself. Ernie says its too cold for him though, and I don't run fast enough:o
3hr 15min from home passing by several local landmarks: Beamsley Beacon, Middleton Woods, White Wells and the Badger Stone. Good to see a couple out on Ilkley Moor on skis
Just back from about 9 miles from Abbey Village- over Great Hill and across to start of Darwen Moor and back though the lower end of Roddlesworth woods.
Fantastic morning. Deep in places, a bit blowy on top but dry powder and amazing hoare frost patterns.
Hope it snows again on Mon / Tues I could get very used to this.
Back home with no mud, almost dry feet and just a bit of sweaty gear.
Have to agree Karen! I'm loving running in the snow. My shoes have never been so clean and it's great not having to scrub the peat off your feet :)
Am I the only person that hates snow !?!
Forgive me fellow forumites for I have sinned…
Fed up of trudging through the snow, so I donned my road shoes and ran for an hour on the roads.
10 miles in the snow, hard hard work, especially when drunk :o
Sat: About 6 miles in great snowy conditions. Loving it!
Sun: About 9 miles in great snowy conditions, but light was a bit flat, still loving it though.
I love snow running.
10k looping round Naden Reservoirs, very nippy in the wind up there.
An attempt to run HA!:rolleyes:swim up Cutgate (Mickledon Straddle), turned round after 55 minutes not even half way up. One drft was..... well bottomless and I had to go up and over it on the way back. In the end the only way was a crawl/swim combo to stop me sinking, it was easy the other way.
I saw plenty of walkers but only one made it as far as me and he was on Snow Shoes:eek:
It was good to get some fresh air though:)
10 mile run this morning must say ive really had enough of this snow now :mad:
