14 steady off road with fellow club members, mixture of good path, waterlogged grass, ankle deep slush and and thigh high snow drifts.
Saturday - 4.5 miles on top of malverns in the clag on the ridge going up, then down then up then down... Nice.
Sunday - !2.5 mile loop from Ledbury to British camp, and then back via eastnor (big chill site) and home. Ran with the OH, we think this is her longest run to date, shes very pleased with herself. http://gb.mapometer.com/en/running/route_339970.html there's the link to the route if anyone knows my area.
ZILCH.....but later on. Midnight-ish im getting the headtorch and going for a late un up round Hartshead Pike....so 4 miles ish
AM 31 hilly miles 1hr.50 on the bike
PM 8 mile/1000' 1hr along the lanes
Looking forward to the snow finally going. Although not looking forward to the mud ... can't win !
Rapid 1 hours round my local hills, fartlecing on the hills.....mmm painful :)
Huge difference to last Monday in the persistent rain and bogs!
1 hour on Singlespeed bike yesterday :D
45 mins (hard) circuits today....as knackering as you want it to be
Running Tue - Thur (5, 8, 10)
6 wet and misty miles up Hameldon. Some sheets of ice still in evidence but mainly wet and muddy. Not another soul to be seen.
Managed to get a hilly 6 in this morning.
Didnt sleep well so really wasnt up for much, but dog was mental when I got in so a rapid 5 on road and trail, quite please in the end.

50mins round Farnhill Pinnacle area with Stick and Grifter. No sign of any snow, very misty but a nice run out :)
stair reps at work: only eight flights, probably about 150 steps in total, but done at full pelt - 90 secs up, 60 secs down, no rests - x10.
Brutal.
Good fast fell run this morning.
Body weight session next.
Does that mean you are going to carry extra weight or just the stuff around your middle like me:o;)
only 5 miles this morning but will nip out later to get another shorter session in. tried to go through the gears near the end to only marginal success, but thats more than I could do last week.:)
Need to get 15 in this afternoon after work up & around Ilkley Moor in preperation for The Rombalds Stride. Anybody else doing this ?

yesterdays.
Tonights will be on later
3 muddy recovery miles in my Vibram KSO's, first (almost) barefoot run of the year! Expecting more snow tomorrow so back to the X-talons...
4m Fartlek run, then straight out on singlespeed cross bike 8.5m/2236ft running/walking the ups shouldering bike.
Ankle was a bit sore earlier so just a brisk 2 miles around the block tonight - ankle fine after:)
Longest run with 'bad ankle', previously 2-3 miles. Tonight did 5m with 'the club', at a conversational pace. Ankle wasn't 100% perfect but feels no worse. So at least I now know it'll handle 5m pounding on road :D
Hill Reps in the dark.
I intended to do 10 reps but i must have lost count because the elevation thingy on 'garmin connect' shows 11 ups and downs. I'll have to do 12 reps next time because i only did 970ft.
5.59 miles, 970ft, 49:37 - Heat rate...Av 158, Max 178 (a max hr pb!!!:D)
See if this works...http://connect.garmin.com/activity/22731961
6-ish miles in two fairly hilly (for round here) woods on Monday. What a difference a week makes: last week the same terrain was beautifully runnable in snow, this week it could best be described as glutinous. Bat run tonight which will probably be very wet.
6 miles last night steady with a couple of efforts with club. Niggling soreness to right of groin this am. Hopefully will subside before Hebden on sat.
6 Miles this lunch time on undulating soaking wet Xcountry type route
WU... 3 x 1.5 mile loop (run hard)....WD
10 mile steady off road tomorrow
Only had time for a 3.5m/950ft so ran it fast, fast for me:rolleyes:
^ miles mon at around 6.2 min mile pace with Notts AC 1500m boys (too fast for me) and 10 miles at a steadier pace Tues night. Not enough hills and no where near getting 10,000 feet per week.
8 Miles in total - 3.25 miles to & from hill session c1.5 miles worth of 6 x The Normans road hills (near Kirkstall leisure centre) + easy recovery etc.
steady 5 trails this morning. not been sleeping well last few nights, changing jobs end of feb so a lot on my mind. good to plod on though. dont feel fit for the northerns on sat.

Around 5mile/800ft from White Lion. Nice to see Stolly :)
Yeah thanks DT - a great run, despite my two tumbles (with super slick recovery forward rolls... over broken boulders), my slightly twisted right ankle and slightly more twisted left ankle  :D.
A great pint of landlord and chips after too.
First off road run since Calderdale, Near zero visibility slight wander near start but we hit every other wp bang on:) still plenty of soft snow about
with DPwarts
Felt good to get the soft stuff under my feet again.
Ran home from work this morning along the canal then over the back fields. Only 6k but better than walking. Got chased by a dog (not in the right direction though). I always walk when approaching dogs off leads but this one chased me anyway. Bloody thing!! Off to play on walking hills training for the N3P this weekend. Next weekend I'm off to Conison where on Saturday I'm walking the Hawkshead Trail Race route (My first race) on the Sunday I'm going to run it and see how much help I need with getting in the time allowed. Well it beats shopping!!
Rapid run round the local hills, with serious turbo boosters on the go!!
Around 7miles 1200ft+
Hightops
I did the Hawkshead Trail Race last year. Fantastic atmosphere. The band on the start line really get the adrenaline pumping. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
