Great race at Borrowdale yesterday. My 3rd year at the fell gate with Billy to catch the runners heading for there 1st climb, Great view, good crack, & a bit of rounding Sheep up after Ricky ran past. This photo to me is what its all about. Billy stands guard at the gate keeping the sheep back and greeting all the runners through. AAttachment 7136 true Legend, and then back down collecting the flags. I got a lift again back to the start, then he was off on his bike up to Honnister checkpoint and back to Rosthwaite for the finish.
You must have been the lad I saw at the gate Paul as I was on my way up to marshal at Bessyboot. Great photo . Billy tells me he has ridden Honister more the 200 times this year already ( out and back ) Legend !Quote:
