You won't need to carry enough for the whole route, there is water at Hope and Mam nick and possibly a bit by BK-JL
Take on a bit more than you might have done, you will be dehydrated later in the race, I'm taking a sun hat aswell!

It's a tough job being R/O as everyone sees things from different perpectives when we consider kit and safety in races. Hopefully, FRA rules alllow the kit carried to be appropriate for the actual conditions on the day. If the forecast is to be believed, it looks like a very warm and almost windless day, where sun protection and extra provision of water would offer better protection to runners than carrying uneccessary kit.
enjoy tomorrow everyone - remember, the race starts at Mam Nick!
Aye, 6km much easier than 34km. Ironically the niggle keeping me out of Edale has now settled down nicely.
Good day for Sheffield today with former ShefUni Chris Smithard winning the Sprints, OJ of DP in 2nd - still looking for that sprint title so he can complete the set (already has middle, long, relay and night)
Good luck tomorrow everyone,
I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines
Just back from marshalling by crookstone, absolutely beautiful day out there! Think I got a couple of good photos of forum dwellers (daz, green flash) but mostly had my hands full with a toddler. Pics to follow this evening
