10 mile on road this morning in the snow...AGAIN
this is really starting to bug me now :mad:
Just nipped out for a recovery run over Pendle for a couple of hours, threw in 3.5 of the hard climbs in...felt strong :)
10 miles doing a recce of second half of Pendle Cloughs.
saturday 7 miles of tempo around a muddy Roundhay Park following nearly 800 others! today 5 miles on the road.
No running today, calfs hurt, achilles is attempting to emit some sort of pain, but I'm not having it.
Cracking on with the raf core workout I've gotta do instead. Hip raise to dorsal raise, tricep dips to crunch, its nasty! :D
Had a top day out doing the 3 peaks on saturday never been up there before.Saw a few runners out on penygent and wernside. The accent of ingleborough was pretty scary.check out the picks

finally starting to get some time on the hill - yesterday saw a 12 mile long slow run out-and-back along the Malvern ridge-line (tempted to call it a skyline but that'd be wrong - calling it a ridge is pushing it) in the breeze.
4 miles today round the houses.
wasn't planning on a run today but the sky had turned this unusual colour, Blue!! and there was a yellow glowy thing up there as well, most strange.
A gentle run from my house round the Hunshelf Amble through woods and fields.
about 8 miles 500ft very pleasant
Nice.

bit of a warm down on dreadmill just before I lost the will to live :(
8 miles around the Holme Valley & Meltham moor & down round the water courses and back to Slawit. Great two mile snow romp over Meltham moor. 1 hour 24 & about 1200 ft climbing.
SOD ALL:mad:
Need to borrow Southernsoftie's forum status instead of being a Grandmaster:(
The benefits of flexitime meant got home in time for an hour's pre-dusk run on a glorious evening - about 7 hillyish miles of road, park, playing fields, woods, ginnels & bridleways:)
Tonight i did a beast of a speed session on the cricket pitch and football pitch behind my house....christ running fast is hard work.
Last night: 1hr, 3 x 1mile hill reps at ~500ft climb each. Fitness is trickling back...
Finally brought some sort of order to my training.
In other words, I've bought a stop watch :p
7.2 miles 1000ft in 59.40 mins
I really was impressed with how much trying to beat a certain time makes you run harder and faster....probably sounds really dumb that, but I was! :)
Great 6 miler/ 1200ft on the hills this morning - nice and bright!
lovely night though wasn't it Jan. cold clear witha bright clear moon, if only the HPM will be like that. We were in the quarries at Snailsden Moss on an Ex

Spring has sprung, though i think the snow will be on the high tops till July:eek:
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh Taper week, how I missed you. 3 x 800m in 2.12 with massive rests then 4 X 200m (CL will be pleased) in 28s with 2 laps jog. In build up to London Marathon but oh how I miss the fells :(
Sunshine!!!!! But still unbelievably wet off-road. So it was 6.5 road and path miles today. Steady pace - 45m38s.
6 'easy' miles, on the flat and hard.
Jibbed round the Pendle Cloughs route with Al Fowler today, cracking little route, saw some bits of Pendle I've never seen before!

Woohoo! haven't been around here for a while it's all so different :D physio says i'm ok to run a bit but no races for 2 weeks...but training isn't racing so i'm breaking curfew .
Little 1.5 miler from the top of Thruscross Reservoir out over some boggy fields and back accross open fell on Rocking Moor, bet Derby Tup's been there ;).
Aye there is hardly any heading over towards the wellsprings, but there are still some nice drifts in the stream gulley from CP1 :)
And plenty on big end side, round to downham side, infact when we got down to the road crossing heading to Downham, some walker said he thought we were skiing down off Pendle lol
I thought Geronimo was tough going with that thin layer of snow, makes it more slippy for me, when I did it the other day, much prefer a good 12 inch of snow or no snow
6 Hilly miles in an hour, just enjoyed the simple pleasure of running, the perfect antidote to a 10 hour/200 miles of driving day, feel good now:)
Nothing today..:(
attending a meeting in Leeds...more depressing than not running
