Was it either of these?
And Steve Wright's Sunday Love Songs? Really?
Printable View
Sunday Love Songs was an eclectic mix this morning softie! 10CC 'I'm not in love' - odd choice really, 'Lady in Red' - possibly worst record ever made?, Pip Collins' excreble cover of 'Groovy kind of love' but on the plus side McFadden and Whitehead 'Ain't no stopping us now', and Fleet Foxes  Can't get youtube but song sounded very 60s, bit like CSNY then wigged out at the end! :)
I wouldn't mind but for smarmy Steve Wright and the overly soppy dedications. And the way he sings over the end of the songs...
But I think I'll be getting the Fleet Foxes album, which will be the first I've bought in a while. Very beatiful and uplifting music.
That'll be "Mykanos" by Fleet Foxes,

Fleet Foxes sound pretty chilled. Can detect a little Steeleye Span in there.
Prefer Steely Dan, reminds me of my skool daze:D

Got a bit of a thing for this song and it various covers since someone mentioned it the other day.
Is it wrong to admit that I think this is a great pop song?

Given my MP3's still up the spout, I had to rely on CDs in the car today!
So on my trip to Manchester and back I crammed in Belle & Sebastian - If You're Feeling Sinister and Echo & The Bunnymen (1987's self-titled album).
Had the windows down and the system up...fantastic!!:D
As I type this, listening to this:

(Bow Wow Wow - Go Wild, for if like DT, you can't get YouTube ;))
On Steve Lamacq's show on iPlayer. Good fun:)
I am having a country evening
Taylor Swift - the current darling of the 12 years olds and huge in the states according to my daughter.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6s5cxBN8mA - the my boyfriend is so sweet song
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4A6Dvdb6KUU - The ex is a complete jerk song
Its fairly pleasant teenage stuff and she apparently writes it herself
A classier version of the same sort of thing (though still sentimental tosh) is this, I really like the video.

Wogan was playing Taylor Swift last week. Then he asked his producer who she was. Just the biggest selling artist in America last year came back the reply....
Still one of my Youtube fav's

I'm not that young! I'm at least 17! And despite that, I'd actually heard the Buzzcocks tunes before I even knew about Los Campesinos. Just hadn't considered the similarities (which aren't that close:rolleyes:)
I thought the presence was strong on Sunday...:p
Just picked out my CDs for journey to Luffbruh, Pea'bruh and back:
Shack-HMS Fable
Kings of Convenience-Quiet is the New Loud
Wilco-Summerteeth
Bowie-Hunky Dory
Plus discs 1&2 from Heart and Soul, the Joy Division box set.
All the more important as not only is me MP3 broken, but some kind chap's relieved my car of the burden of its aerial. Brill!
Right, must dash!

I went to Burnley shopping for the first time - I thought it deserved a treat
I saw it as slumming it. Living in Keighley I have to go over the Pennines to give myself a reality check and remind myself not everyone has it as good as me:)
Since i now work for Bosch, i have been taking a keen interest in power tools:cool:
