8 miles 1300' in local hills. Quite a few runners out today as usually I am on my own up there. A few looked to be recceing leg 5 of the Pennine Bridleway.
Nipped round the Cannock Chase Trig Point race this morning bringing weekends total to 37 mile 6500ft.
Good week: 100km+ (not much climb and not very adventurous mind), 4 separate running partners, Ashes series sewn up, 70% through my Lit review with 3+ weeks left and heart rate gradually dropping after Christmas/New Year.
Only bad points being my ceiling developing a leak and, at the moment, City trying to loose in the Cup. Hopefully the latter will change!
A cheeky 11, taking in Black Hill up the old PW and back home. Still plenty of snow and ice up top.
I agree Rob. It was very windy yesterday, but I didn't feel cold at all despite a very steady pace !
Nice mid afternoon trip - Greenfield, Plantation, Stable Stones Brow ascent, Chew Res, Duck Stones, Fox Stone and descent to Doves Res - watched the drama unfold as OMRT carried someone off the hill below Duck Stones - back home via Waterside Mill - great day out there, very icy from Stable Stones to Chew Res, hope the person being carried off was not too badly injured!
Great Hameldon Fell race route + a few hill reps 6 - 7ish miles 1100+ ft, very, very wet in places - lovely!
A very wet and cool 45 minutes on Ilkley Moor with a headtorch and cag for company.
Feel a lot better for it. :D
a wild night race in the Winter series. 6.70miles with 1300ft climbing, 48.40, not my best by a long shot but huge improvement on 2 weeks ago. Very wet and Windy
Soggy solo hour long head-torcher last night over Hobson Moor and round the resevoirs followed by an hours bowling in the nets at Old Trafford.
Accidentally ran 5.1 miles on today's 4 miles lunchtime run :D
Not a bad mistake, and it will help with shifting some lard (especially as it hasn't left me any time to eat my lunch).
BMF last night and tonight ...
A nice four miles from Marsden Up the Dam wall & along the Wessenden Valley to the Deer Farm and back. First outing for the crimbo headtorch. Nice. Happy with 39 minutes.
Nice night outing through the Plantation from Greenfield, west ascent of Wimberry dropped down t'other side and back via Plantation - great night out there, not another soul to be seen in the valley - peaceful :)
Misty trip up over Wimberry way this evening, nice and still out there!

It was good to see the ever Cheerful Ginger Whinge, along with Blue Bike, Straggler, 'Kin snail, ex Pennine Andy G and a fair few others.
Great run and a good pint of Landlord to finish it off
40 mins of cardio intervals on the exercise bike last night, then 60-min BMF sesh in the pish, then 20-min bike ride home
A thoroughly enjoyable 2 and a half hours on Kinder Scout.
A climb of William Clough and right turn to the top of Kinder. Down to the reservoir. Through the valley and then up Mount Famine and South Head. Back down again and climbed up to Edale Cross and up onto Kinder Low and back down to the car park.
Managed to avoid any rain and any fog lifted enough to make a it a good clear day.
Mid afternoon trip up and over Wimberry - fantastic to be out there :)

Legs and lungs are not in shape that brain and heart require.
70 mins in the gym including 23 mins bike, 15 mins x-trainer, 1000m row & plenty of fixed stations working arms, legs, abs etc. Calf is fine so planning on 15-20 min easy run tomorrow.

4.5m steady last night, first run after being ill all week and felt comfortable. That'll do for me, bring on PECO tomorrow :)
Hope, loose hill, Mam tor, Grindslow to Ringing Rodger via up down and return via same route.
14.5 miles 5,780 feet. 3:45. Climbing was hard as not done much recently
Bit of a head torcher too as was out for bit over an hour in dark.
After yesterday's scouring by wind and water on Ingleborough, another soaking today on an 11 mile round of Simon's Seat from Storiths.
Enjoyed my Buffers sausage sandwich and pot of tea afterwards. :D
A tad under 9 miles up Cut Gate & Down towards Cranberry Clough and back, taking in North America. Saw one or two recceing. V Windy.

PECO XC - 5.2 miles 36min. 1200ft of climb apparently (I think the trees may have interfered with the readings somewhat)
17.5miles / c2500ft on Meon Valley Plod route in Hampshire with Stef. Heavy going in the mud
Couple of wet, windy hours running and walking with muttocks. Found an excellent hill repping area for future use:thumbup:
Bit of the Edale Skyline (Mam Tor-Jacob's Ladder) followed by some edge-and-grough fun to the calendar box. Bit disappointed the Nags was shut once back in the valley, so went and dripped in the Rambler's instead.
including the run to and from the train station, 30.5km, 700m or so.
