No, what I meant was - how do you sleep at night with all those complicated permutations whizzing round your head. I wasn't meaning to imply that you had anything to be guilty about.

It's looking rather white outside. At this rate I'll have to dig my way from Cheshire to Askham. Alarm set for 5...
Currently snowing over the NE Lakes with more on the way.

I'm reliably informed there's around 30cm of snow on the Wansfell ridge with a thin crust and snow falling as of maybe 30 minutes ago.
In case anyone's approaching this evening via the A1 to Scotch Corner - the A1M has been closed all day at Wetherby, the re-opening time is currently set at 6pm but has already been put back several times. Tailbacks are reported as about 3 hours
You'll have to go round the top to get to Patterdale, Mrs Stagger. This http://www.keepmoving.co.uk/hold_ups...2&direction=-1 says the Kirkstone Pass is blocked. I know Troutbeck village bought themselves a snowplough - maybe they just pushed it further up the road?
Oh thank you DFTS, just seen this message although Hank did mention it early on in the week but I forgot!
The roads round here are a bit tricky. I had to abandon getting my daughter to her music lesson as the A49 was at a standstill for miles due to the slush & snow slowing the rush hour traffic up, & funnelling it off the minor roads. Glad I'm not travelling tonight. Should be a nice icy surface to drive up on in the morning!
BBC Cumbria are saying Kirkstone is open now.
Wish they'd told me the fell road across to Ennerdale was shut before I drove over it :w00t:
Good luck everyone.
Were at clifton a few miles from askham and its clear here and a66 was fine too altihough its freezing up abit now
