I'm staying over at Penrith Travelodge with another runner (seperate beds) planning to start running / crawling through deep snow at about 8am

I'm staying in Keswick Friday and Sat evenings at the Denton House Hostel along with quite a few other well known forumites. We will be somewhere between Dog and Gun and Lakeland Spice from 6 ish both nights......and in the Loft till 3 ish Sunday :w00t: If anyones in Keswick come and say hello (bring a pie )

I'll be travelling up to Askam this afternoon (snow permitting - it's been doing it all morning here in S. Manchester). Staying in the Queen's Head tonight and tomorrow. Anyone else staying there? If so I'll see you there.

I've just phoned the Queen's Head to ask about conditions - no snow and roads are clear. Forecast is predicting a bit of snow tomorrow. Sounds like a repeat of last year, except it'll be 10 deg C warmer. Who's for shorts and vest then? :w00t:

Looks like it might snow a bit this afternoon/evening, but probably not enough to cause problems.

We're travelling up to Patterdale YH tonight, hope the roads stay clear. No snow on the Halifax/Huddersfield boarder at the moment. See you all in the morning bright and early!

I'm experiencing the usual excitement and misplaced optimism that comes before a big event. No doubt this time tomorrow I'll be wishing I'd never entered and vowing to not be so silly in future.

We've managed to stay optimistic enough that we've packed gear for some winter climbing on Sunday
It's more likely that walking down stairs to breakfast will be quite enough exertion for the day.
