Re bracken - when is the latest month in spring when this is still doable?
Out of interest, is there a track that follows a complete circuit of the kinder plateau? I've done the dozen a few years ago but have been meaning to do a much easier run around the edge for years and have never got around to it.
Yes Mark. I've done it a few times. From memory a climb of Grindsbrook from the Nag's, a circuit plus getting back down is c 17 miles. Scarpa Bionics, Ron Hills, red wooly socks and a bright purple Karrimor fleece (when Karrimor was a proper brand) are optional. As is trying to buy a pint in the Nag's after your circuit for less than two quid

I met my brother t'other day for lunch in the South Yorkshire / Derbyshire border area. I said to the waitress have you got any beer and she started a long list with Farmers Blonde. I said two of them please. We've got a mate who's involved with MR blah, blah, blah. Beer was ace!
